PTV-Jobo 820 Posted January 14, 2012 Hey guys, I got a bit of a project going on that consists of a AMV. Now one idea I had was to have the rear door/ramp animate up and down so you can walk inside and out. Now I have two questions before I look further into it, that I am hoping some of you knowledgeable folk can help with: 1) Can such a thing cause any performance hits to have it animated and playing with it in MP? 2) Is there a way to force people to actually open and wait for the ramp to lower before they can get the "Get In" option in the action menu? I know there might be some complaints of "why on earth would you want to do that?!", but this is something me and my guys are wondering about if it's even possible. Thanks in advance for any info regarding the above. :)

Thanks in advance for any info regarding the above. :) 1-) It won't be diferent from a house opening and closing the door... so i would say no 2-) As far as i know you can't define conditions to the getin and getout actions by default( maybe there is a way but i don't know any ^^). So the solution would be use custom actions to getin and getout as cargo, and the condition to show that action you can use something like "this animationPhase ""Animation_name"" == 0" and ==1 . Sorry can't get you a full example of that right now , i don't have time :(
slatts 1978 Posted January 16, 2012 1) no, only issue i can see is if you add an interior to a vehicle you could end up going over the faces limit which may cause issues for players with lower end Pc's 2) i remember hearing delta hawks ford police cars have you "locked in" till you open the doors then the option to get out
PTV-Jobo 820 Posted January 22, 2012 Ah cheers fellas. I forgot already I opened this thread, doh! Well I'm glad I don't really have to worry too much about the performance hit at least right now. But I'm really glad to hear that in theory it is possible to do the whole ramp getin/getout. Thanks again! :)
