Multiplayer seems very confusing to me and I have not find some good explanation what are all these MP modes about. I play CTI all the time, because it is only mode I actually understand. Official modes: - capture the island (CTI) - deathmatch - team deathmatch - detector - capture the flag - seize the area - sector control - CQB - Civil war - Superpowers "Unofficial modes": - Warfare - Warfare BE (difference?) - Evolution - Domination - Domination 2 - Insurgency - RTS - ACE - CRCTI "Other stuff I don't understand" - Arma 2 Vanilla (?) - Valhalla Can you please write a sentence which describe the mode? For example: CTI: go around whole map, capture cities, upgrade weapons and vehicles, find and destroy mobile headquarters. Just a single sentence. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
ArmAriffic 10 Posted January 6, 2012 CTI : Capture the Island...self explanitory Deathmatch: Free for All COD style with Players &\or AI fighting Team Deathmatch: Same as above but in team form Detector: Deathmatch at night Capture the Flag: like team deathmatch but with less AI and you have to take the enemy flag to your base Seize the area: 6 people work together to kill AI and capture an area from them Sector Control: 2 team have to fight each other to capture all the sectors CQB: Like Team Deathmatch but in a larger area, with more AI and it has vehicles Civil War: CDF vs. Chernarussian insergents, both teams have to try and capture all the marked towns Superpowers: Same as Civil War but with USMC vs Russia Warfare: same as Civil War\Super Powers Warfare BE (Benny Edition): A user modified version of Warfare Evolution: I have not played Domination\Domination 2: All players on the same team have to work together to capture towns, unlike warfare in Domination is one town at a time Insergency: Player vs. Player, destroy all ammo caches RTS: have not heard of ACE: ACE is a realism mod for ArmA CRCTI: have not heard of ArmA 2 Vanilla: Vinilla means non modified. Eightiesmullet 1 Posted June 8, 2012 I also bought Arma2 and operation flashpoint for the DayZ business. Can someone point me in the direction of which downloads / mods I should go for if I want to get into Co-op missions online? Apologies for noobishness and all that.
