CorsairFlyer 10 Posted December 31, 2011 Hi all, first here's my specs: • i5 2500k on P67 sabertooth • ASUS GTX580 DCII (last drivers, 285.xx) • 8gb Corsair RAM PC12800 • ArmA II:CO patched 1.11/1.60 • Win 7 home 64bits My ArmA2OA.cfg language="French"; adapter=-1; 3D_Performance=1500000; Resolution_Bpp=32; Resolution_W=1920; Resolution_H=1080; refresh=60; winX=16; winY=32; winW=1920; winH=1080; winDefW=800; winDefH=600; Render_W=1920; Render_H=1080; FSAA=2; postFX=0; GPU_MaxFramesAhead=1000; GPU_DetectedFramesAhead=3; HDRPrecision=8; lastDeviceId=""; localVRAM=1576468480; nonlocalVRAM=2147483647; vsync=1; AToC=0; FXAA=0; Windowed=0; sceneComplexity=150000; And here's my first problem. When I turn shadows on (normal settings, not tried the other ones) my game is randomly crashing (game freezes, then "ArmA 2 has stopped working..". No problem with shadows off. My second problem: I often get memory warning messages while playing ArmA 2. It says that there is low memory left (about 5/6gb are used on 8). Tried -maxmem=2047, this happens less often but still happens. Any idea ? :) Thanks :D
old_painless 182 Posted January 2, 2012 (edited) Try Shadows at Very High, together with Video Memory at Default. Those two will make Arma use your video memory in accordance with what it has found you have (localVRAM value). Otherwise, AFAIR it will eat away at your system ram Edited January 2, 2012 by Old_Painless
