BiZzR 0 Posted June 8, 2002 I just got ADSL and thought id try to host, now when ppl try connecting all they get to is " (player) Connected" then it Disconnects why is this happening i have zonealarm too, not sure if thats the problem ... PLZ help! Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Mister Frag 0 Posted June 8, 2002 You will have to configure ZoneAlarm to act as both a server and client. Start OFP once with the following switches: -nosplash -window -x=800 -y=600 This will start OFP in a windowed mode where it won't take up the entire screen, assuming your Windows resolution is higher than 800x600. Connect to the Internet and create the server, and let ZoneAlarm pop up the warning dialog, which should be visible in the lower right corner of the screen. Configure ZoneAlarm to let OFP act as both an Internet client and server, and make sure you check the option to remember those selections, or ZoneAlarm won't save them permanently. Your friends should now be able to connect to your server, and you can remove the additional command-line switches again. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
