How do you know what code line you are looking at within the script code.

Recommended Posts

Hello this is most likely a simple thing I am over looking. How do you know what line number of code you are looking at within a script. Do you just have to count or is there a way to fine the code line within the script. For example if I need to change a code at line 153 how can I find that line with a easy way. Thanks AVIBIRD

Most advanced text editors such as Notepad++ and several IDEs like ArmAScript, SQF Editor, etc. will show you lines numbers as well.

Almost all editors in existence have a feature where the current line is shown. Look after in the menu or preferences for your editor. Even plain ol' notepad has this feature in View->Statusbar. Then your current line is displayed in the bottom right.
