What does FADE do exactly?

I have a Sprocket purchased game and this games control is all over the place. I am wondering if I am getting hit with some sort of copy protection since the BETA did not do this. It is getting rather annoying.

I am moving along normally, no control changes, and then all a sudden I am all over the place and crashing or damaging the Huey built of glass that gets damaged by looking at it funny. I am not overspeed, nothing. The Beta seems to have been a better product. What happened?

Fade does bad things to your BIS game install...the game literally degrades till it ceases to work.
