beepee 10 Posted October 28, 2011 Check the md5sums for all downloaded files. This way you will know if any of them is corrupted. Here are the propper md5sums: 884e8dc771954f509cb80ca2acf9e07e *Take_On_Helicopters_Setup.exe 25b19ba5972c5077648c33cad9583a4f *Take_On_Helicopters_Setup01.bin 294664a4f26cc54d8eef9f9032190ffd *Take_On_Helicopters_Setup02.bin bd8e805a71fae96ab758b9fa03bb3736 *Take_On_Helicopters_Setup03.bin 4ae498cdb02afd6e4aef590209e79a5a *Take_On_Helicopters_Setup04.bin b80b9c2563464a44cc34c4addcd17971 *Take_On_Helicopters_Setup05.bin 4eb61c19617a073883cf04e951b24424 *Take_On_Helicopters_Setup06.bin 80c46223c5706bfc9459478021690b38 *Take_On_Helicopters_Setup07.bin 57c81d018fdc4b1ef9eddf69c4f28d87 *Take_On_Helicopters_Setup08.bin

zoog 18 Posted October 28, 2011 I have them all on my desktop. Now what? What's your question exactly? @OP: check the md5sums like BeePee mentioned. One of the files has been corrupted while downloading.
4 IN 1 0 Posted October 28, 2011 There are md5 checksums app out there, most of them will automatically calculate the file md5, and by compare them with the md5sums given by the source file holder, you can check if the file is corrupted or not.

Ok so if one is corrupted then what? DL? the whole thing again?
maruk 80 Posted October 28, 2011 If a file is corrupted, download the corrupted file. There is direct download link available for each separate file from Sprocket.
zoog 18 Posted October 28, 2011 Ok so if one is corrupted then what? DL? the whole thing again? If I'm correct (but I'm not 100% sure!!) you must re-download the specific file that was corrupt. EDIT: Maruk was quicker @BIS: maybe create a sticky with explanation on how to check file corruption/fix install problems etc?
manzilla 1 Posted October 28, 2011 Thanks guys. I've done that. All the numbers/letters posted here matched what the checksum calculator gave me. Now what? DL the whole thing?
zoog 18 Posted October 28, 2011 Are you using the setup.exe from the full version, and not accidentally the .exe of the beta pre-order? You have 8 .bin files?

zoog 18 Posted October 28, 2011 Hmm, very strange. What is the exact error you get? Because I thought you were the OP, but you're not, and I don't see anything posted about the exact error (or maybe I overlooked something).
manzilla 1 Posted October 28, 2011 (edited) Ok.... what the f&%k? I tried it 10 times and it didn't work. So I try it again to get the exact error message for you and ta da!!!! Now it works. Zoog, it was waiting for you. Haha. EDIT: This is exciting! Edited October 28, 2011 by Manzilla

manzilla 1 Posted October 28, 2011 Got it installed and running but the default controls don't include my joystick(which is recognized) Are we supposed to have to set that up ourselves? That will be difficult for people that aren't familiar with a heli.
DnA 5154 Posted October 28, 2011 Got it installed and running but the default controls don't include my joystick. The manual should include information on how to apply default schemes for your joystick, or generic schemes if your specific joystick is not listed yet. Please see if that helps you :)

zoog 18 Posted October 28, 2011 Are there people that are willing to help. thx Hm, it's hard. So the files are good based on the md5 checks. I don't know, is there enough space on the target directory? And enough space on C: for unpacking files/temp files etc (or whatever location you have set for windows temp directory)? Nobione 10 Posted October 29, 2011 I had exactly the same error message as the original OP, Rickyklu. I just reset my PC and then the install went fine, hope this helps.
