Rouen58 10 Posted November 13, 2011 Joined 527th about a month ago. Had a superb experience so far. The team plays strictly realism based ARMA 2, but isn't tied down by rules and bureaucracy - even as a newcomer, if you have an idea for a certain type of mission, you can can create it or get the squad co-founder/modder Grace to design it, and then lead the squad. The founders Suggsy and Grace both have real-life combat experience with the British armed forces, and this really transfers over to the game where they are more than happy to help you learn and improve without going through rigid and long-winded training. It also makes me laugh at some squads out there with "ultra realistic" selection processes and ranking systems. You can join one of the many other ARMA 2 squads run by civvies and experience fake "realism" in a bureaucratic structured environment. You have been tasked with eliminating a Russian Armoured division stationed at Stary Sobor. 8th April 2012 = Operation Crimson Cross pt2 DESCRIPTION = After sweeping threw Stary Sobor, you have been given extra tasks to sweep threw several more town's and clear an airfield for the allied invasion. 15th April 2012 = Operation Nova DESCRIPTION = You are deep behind enemy line's on the border of Chernarus. You are tasked with sabotaging and disrupting the enemy border. 22nd April 2012 = Duty in Zargabad DESCRIPTION = You are part of a british ISAF team based on the outskirts of zargabad at FOB Hadrian, Your task's involve supporting the takistani community and providing aid and support to there people as well as keeping the Takiban out of Zargabad 29th April 2012 = Duty in Zargabad pt2 DESCRIPTION = You are part of a british ISAF team based on the outskirts of zargabad at FOB Hadrian, Your task's involve supporting the takistani community and providing aid and support to there people as well as keeping the Takiban out of Zargabad We also play Project Reality most nights and can be found on the =Olut= server with a 527th Squad, you are welcome to join us. we conduct ourselves as a squad the way we would in a mission. Our website goes to our steam 527 group and we also use our facebook group to take the piss out of each other. Suggsy 10 Posted December 2, 2012 Good morning Arma 2 OA friends We are currently looking for a 2IC for our Regiment. The existing members are of various aptitudes but non are willing or capable of assisting in leading the clan. The clan is small with an active membership of about 8 players. Although the members want to do things properly, they don't want it to be a complete milsim, as Arma is an enjoyable game using team work, not a career. The right person for the position, will have the following. 1) be of mature ish years. 2) have a sense of humor 3) have a good command of the English language. 4) be in a similar timezone (we train and play on a Sunday 18:00 till 22:00 Zulu) 5) be competent in delivering training in an adult manner. 6) be able to produce easy to follow procedures documentation. Our standard mod string is @ACE, @ACEX, @ACEX_RU, @ACEX_SM, @ACEX_USNavy, @ACRE, @Blastcore_Visuals @CBA, @CBA_A2, @CBA_OA, @JayArma2Lib_new, @sthud, expansion/beta. We are using/developing our own training map, which at the moment has CQB, Medic, Timed Assault Course, Parachute Training, Sniper Training, Driving and Radio exercises. If anyone thinks they are up for the job, then please pm me with their application and experience.
