CTD when shooting occurs.

Operation Arrowhead and ArmA2.

Whenever I fire my weapon, I CTD to desktop.

Some questions for you:

-what is your command line you start up with?

-Are you running any mods, extra addons?

-do you have addons you downloaded in the main Arma2 directory in the directory addons folder?

-what are you playing when this occurs, sp missions, mp missions, in editor made preview, or just general anytime any mission?

Did you make the mission yourself with or without scripts involved?

-Do you have the latest drivers for your gpu?

-what is your monitor size , resolution, and what is your ingame video setup.

Lastly post your RPT, and find the crashdump files, located here:

The arma2OA.rpt, arma2OA.bidmp and arma2OA.mdmp files are located in your -profiles root directory,

or if used without this parameter then it can be found in these default locations:

WINDOWS XP: %userprofile%\Local Settings\Application Data\ArmA 2 OA

-Have you submitted your crashdump files to Dwarded?

I dont see how hes under the requirements other then his gpu:

NVIDIA GeForce 9500 GT, hes got a dual core to back him up but its very possible, Im thinking possible mission problems with scripts,

or that service pack 3 for his OS.

What missions are you playing by the way?

I've installed arma 2:free on my htpc, it has a 7600GT, even slower (although not by much) than the 9500GT. Tested in the editor on utes, runs like shit but doesnt ctd when shooting. Have you tried it on low resolutions and did you install the latest nvidia driver?

How about this, lose the downloaded missions, and anything you had added.

Go to the sp (single player) editor, pick utes for shits and giggles, double click on the map to put down a soldier, and then hit preview,

shoot your gun and what happens? CTD? or the game runs?

Also as I had asked before post your RPT, all this time wasting about gpu and whatnot,

RPT tells you whats going on in the game, you should also sent Dwarden the crash dump files to and point him to this thread.
