SandMan13 10 Posted July 20, 2011 Well I've been playing ARMA 2 for about a day now. First time playing it it was great, no problems at all. Now whenever I play I can't move forward with the "W" key. I can't move back or side to side, really nothing in the A-Z area and NUM pad on the key board are useable, they all just give commands or open command options. (as if you were pressing 1,2,3 etc). Now when I go to controls it says everything is binded the correct way, W is forward, S is back, etc. But when I clear the option (lets say Walk Forward) and I try to bind W to it, I press W but it says something like 3+0 or some other random combination of numbers. I had this problem in Battlefield 2, BC2 and now this game. If anyone knows how to fix this or has some suggestions it would be much appreciated. Or if there is something else you need to know before being able to help, ask away.
gutie0331 10 Posted July 21, 2011 Hey sandman, did you ever find a solution to this problem? I seem to be having the same issue and am going bonkers not being able to enjoy arma. Very frustrating
.kju 3105 Posted July 21, 2011 welcome you two! a) do you use any addons? b) what mission does it happen? c) SP or MP?
SandMan13 10 Posted July 21, 2011 a) no, i use no addons. b) happens everywhere. as long as your playing, your movements and A-Z keys are not working. c) both did find a solution though, uninstalled and reinstalled ARMA. That seemed to do it. However when I first installed ARMA it had no problems, so after I restart it I'll see if the keys remain normal.
