Fellden 10 Posted July 5, 2011 Hi! I believe this has been answered before but most of the post where regarding people that bought the game from steam. I first bought arma 2 OA in a store and then a couple of months later, bought arma II from direct2drive. I then managed to merge them together somehow and got the OA.exe and everything. The thing is that i bought a new computer about a week ago and i cant remember how i did to merge them before. Can someone please give me a simple step to step guide on how to successfully do this? It's really bugging me out.. Thanks! :)
Leon86 13 Posted July 6, 2011 install arma 2 first, install OA in the same directory, might want to patch to latest version and then defrag the harddrive while you're at it.
Fellden 10 Posted July 6, 2011 I did that. The OA installer found the bohemia interactive folder and i installed the game directly into it. Still, no CO exe. ?
.kju 3245 Posted July 6, 2011 Use the arma2oa.exe. It will launch the game in CO mode, if arma2 files are in the same folder.
Fellden 10 Posted July 6, 2011 shouldn't "ARMAII" show up in the "expansions" section in the game then? The thing is: it seems that the OA automatically installed into a subfolder of some sort. it made another bohemia interactive folder in my root armaII folder. Will this prevent me from running it in CO? ---------- Post added at 11:20 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:18 AM ---------- one mor thing: Is it enough to only reinstall OA if i want to retry installing it to the same folder as the retail version or do i have to reinstall both of the games? ---------- Post added at 01:07 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:20 AM ---------- No matter guys i fixed it. Thanks for the help!
David Schofield 10 Posted July 7, 2011 So this means Operation: Arrowhead changes will apply in Arma 2 as well? :)
