Alex470 10 Posted June 10, 2011 So I bought this Combined Operations last night and installed it this morning. I woke up a bit earlier than usual to see how ARMA 2 would look on my computer (which I *assumed* would have no issues). Most of the settings were preset to High except for the 3D Resolution. I bumped it up from 960x540 to 1920x1080, my screen resolution. I immediately noticed my mouse lagging, and upon loading Boot Camp, I noticed movement was smooth, yet incredibly, incredibly slow in response. Upon setting the resolution back to 960, movement still felt quite slow in response, albeit much more responsive than at 1920. So, I'll go ahead and post my system specs and see if I'm not just crazy or something... Intel Core i5 CPU 750 @ 2.67GHz (Quad core; not sure if that's obvious by what I'm posting from system properties. lol) 2.66GHz, 3.49GB RAM nVidia 9800GT (512)
PuFu 4600 Posted June 10, 2011 firstly, you should be posting technical problems in the troubleshooting thread. (which I *assumed* would have no issues) you'd be amazed... on your issue: * turn AA off (your gfx card would be taking a real beating otherwise). * turn ATOC off (atoc=0 in your arma2.cfg) * mess with all the setting untill you get a playable framerate - no mouse lag. * check your mouse acceleration settings in your game controls
andromedagalaxe 10 Posted June 10, 2011 Most computers can't run the game on high. The most high-end quad-core processor and graphics card are needed for settings and PP effects. Game looks good on medium. Also, reduce the draw distance.
