kpx 10 Posted June 4, 2011 Hi, This is my first post and I'm going to report my problem :[ I've got a strange problem on my ArmA 2. When I play about 1~2 hours (maybe less than 30 minutes) on multiplayer mode the game crashes and I get black screen, but the game still running, I can move and I can shoot normally, of course with black screen.. My computer specs: Windows 7 64 Bits ASUS P6T Deluxe V2 Intel® Core i7 920 @ 2.6 Corsair Dominator 6GB (3x2GB) HD SSD Crucial C300 256 Gb ZOTAC GeForce GTX 295 Monitor: Samsung SyncMaster 2233 @ 120 Hz By the way... 1) I already reinstalled all game files. 2) I update my video card. 3) Mobo, proc, HD and VGA temps are normal. 4) Aero is disable. 5) Firewall is disable. 6) AV is avast, but i disable when I startup any game. 7) It doesn't happen with other games, I can left run black ops, bc2 for more than 4 hours and no problem. Any ideas? Regards,

pendragonuk 0 Posted June 9, 2011 Every few hours I have to 'flush' Left shift + number-pad - then type flush The screen goes black and the video ram is flushed out. Normally the black screen is a sign of running your video settings too high. but after several hours play you are going to run in to performance issue that weren't there when you started playing. I have found it less of a problem by setting the video memory setting to 'default' as this will use all of the video ram you have rather than the set amounts that the other settings refer to. Flushing is just something you have to remember to do from time to time when playing monster sessions...
Dreahack 10 Posted June 10, 2011 i also have this problem, between each game i have to restart the game to avoid using "flush" each 5 mins,i dont get black screens usually but huge FPS drops often which is fixed by flush, but it happens each 5 mins so it is annoying. Then you are running your game at too high a setting. Turn some of that stuff down! Drop the texture detail or the shadows heck drop the lot. Till the game runs without fault. Then slowly, one setting at a time increase the game settings. Find the right balance between looks and playability. There is no point expecting the game to look great but to have to flush the video memory every five minuets.
