ANZACSAS Steven 396 Posted June 2, 2011 (edited) Hello everyone, We'd like to share with you all our MP mission "Air War Over Pyrenees" in the FPS friendly and Very Large 100x100klm "Hautes-Pyrenees" Terrain by Wattgaz. This MP mission is based around teamwork between Airborne Strike units and Marine Force Recon units.The airborne units have numerous targets to destroy.SF units will assist in "lasing" some of the more diffficult targets for the airborne units such as ZU-23 AA guns that aircraft cant "lock on" to. All feedback is welcome thru the "Co20 Air War Over Pyrenees" thread on the Bis Forums. Here's a Description - - Game Required - - ARMA2 Combined Operations - Theatre - - Hautes-Pyrenees France - Objective - There is 2 main area's to neutralize in order to make way for an infantry special forces unit to raid in 18 hours time. We must destroy all airborne aircraft at the same time as taking down all anti-aircraft weapon systems.Once air-superiority has been achieved there are tank units deployed that must be destroyed before the infantry Assualt can proceed.Once most, if not all threats from the ground and the air have been neutralised there is fuel storage containers to be destroyed for mission success. j rock 10 Posted June 4, 2011 the best map for air war, 15 x 15 km just won't do it,, tried ur taki version it was fun but nothing compare to this i would rather play on this map 10 out of 10 times. i also tried it it with MMA mod... suggestion to all do it, go turn on ur MMA Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Ya might wanna try the version in sands and also Ilha Marrom from RKSL.Both terrains are big also.Not quite as big as this terrain but the area's between the enemy and home base is similar. Hopefully the team working on this terrain develop it further. The AA missiles in the mission are from the SA6.Unsupported from Mando's i think. As far as i know mando's wont do anything to these missiles. What u are seeing is the SA-6 SAM Launcher system engaging and efx trails. But i will check out mando's when i get some time. j rock 10 Posted June 5, 2011 i think the Pyrenees map is very much dead in the water, the author is way too ambitious, say even he get enough help (which he currently lack of...) to complete the map i doubt people would be happy to play on it... due to low fps... this MCAGCC 29 Palms will be the next best air map over all, it got house, its complete, it look bloody hugeeeeeee and beautiful but no detail on how big it actually is i m just guessing..... http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=114215 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
ANZACSAS Steven 396 Posted June 7, 2011 J rock, I wouldnt call it dead yet m8.:) It has only been a month approx. since the last post so i would say its still around. The arma engine can handle around 4-5 million objects with little effort with latest patches installed. Aslong as objects are spread out wisely the island could be sufficiently detailed. I have seen the latest vid for the 29 palms terrain and it does look good for air missions.I also am unsure of its size. Thanks for the info. :) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
