Cool...can you make them stick their noses into other sovereign countries business? And then can you make them flee in terror at the first sign of combat? Can you name their commander "Kofi" and make him braindead?....this would be a very realistic mod then!

Well, I'm working on a small campaign that will be included in the addon. It will punch at some of the many bad rumours about the UN's efforts.

There has been countless cases where UN troops have helped saving lives of those who are completely ignored by the rest of the world community, even while struggling with the harsh restrictions they where under.

Just an example, Danish UN Leppard tanks responded directly to fire, while protecting a convoy in Bosnia and continued shelling the aggressors until they where out of ammo. What they where not allowed to do, was CHASE the aggressors after they fleed, i.e. become aggressors themselves.

The main problems that have forced UN troops to withdraw from safe zones, have been that the member countries have not supplied the troops required, and on time, nor paid their dept to UN for years (I'm not mentioning any countries here).

if you are talking about the US taxpayers not having their hard earned money given away to the useless UN then I say GOOD! What a waste of money and I don't want one cent of my tax dollars going to the UN

They will make great hostages in my missions. Thats what they become most of the time when the sh!t his the fan anyway (or until a real national military comes and bails them out)

Don't know if any of you have played much of Ghost Recon, but some of the better missions were ones where you had to reach UN troops and help them fend off aggressors..

Looking forward to this UN addon.. I hope there is a UN reskin on the BlackHawk

Better UN Hinds:) Russian paras used Mi-24s in Sierra Lione and use several as a part of KFOR right now. Hinds don't even have to fire, looks alone will pacify anyone.
