Help appreciated, ArmA 2 game disc scratched

Hey everyone.

I bought ArmA 2 (just by itself, no expansions) legit from a game shop yesterday, installed fine and played fine.

Unfortunately my PC likes to scratch and ruin discs, which it did after the first use. Now the disc seems to be ruined, will not load or work on any PC.

Is there any thing I can do to play without the disc? or any other options? it is installed with the product key, but the disc is now useless.

Any help will be much appreciated, I also am not very good with anything technical but I'll try my best :)

patch to the latest (1.09) and the game should run without the disc... does for me.

I downloaded the 1.00 to 1.09 patch but when I try to extract it or open it it errors and says the file is invalid or various other errors :confused:

EDIT: I'll try downloading the patch again and see if it works this time.

Hi try the old toothpaste trick on scratched cd's

smear it on rub it in circular motion round the disk leave for five minutes wash it off.

helped me out when your desperate .

And patch your game 1.59
