Not in the Mission editor in ArmA 2 you can't, I know with versions before 1.4 in VBS2 you could edit a unit from within the said editor, rename it and it would appear in the BLUFOR drop down menu's, hell you could change an entire squad and rename it, and give them all indivudual load outs without any syntax editing ;)

The enhancements include highly realistic scuba and parachute simulation in VBS2 v2.0. Also, in partnership with TerraSim, we will be showcasing the Osama bin Laden compound in Abbottabad highlighting our rapid development capabilities.
new VBS2 editing modules including: UAS-TS (Unmanned Arial System - Training Simulation), VB-Edit (Real Time Map Editor) Edit GUI (interface editor), C ³ I-TS (Command, Control, Communication and Intelligence - Training Simulation).

These are very interesting new features i would love to see in arma2

apart from this of course RtT, which would open us a whole new horizon of possibilities and immersion

Please do not dig up old and inactive threads, specially not when nothing significant is being added to the discussion with the new post.

See forum rules:

§10) Do not dig up old threads

Threads older than 4 months should not be dug up unless something significant is being added. If in doubt as to what is "significant", contact a moderator and they will give you their opinion. As always old threads will remain open or be closed at the moderator's discretion. Digging up an old thread simply to ask "any news" is also not acceptable, PM the thread starter or mod leader to ask.
