alx 20 Posted May 18, 2002 I can't remember with which patch this crept in (I'm at version 1.46). I find that all helicopters constantly rise as if the "Q" key is stuck (but I know it's not, nor is auto-hover on). Makes flying a real wrestle Has this been recorded by anyone else? If so, is there a fix? Alx
jawk2 1 Posted May 18, 2002 hmm the actual patch get the chopper near the plane movment... then if u do a sharp turn with a big chopper (apache, Hind, chinook), and u add the cyclic in your turn (u use the Z axis too of the joystick to turn *i find a trick is to do a complete round with the stick thought... begin up right/left down center: u ll do a sharp turn without hit the sky*.OPF add the anti-cyclic mvt to the rotor mvt, then u go up alot in a low horizontal speed. Another thing if u use a joystick with an acceleration pedals watch carefully it: OPF by defaulat assign it for up/down mvt of the plane/chopper (i once tried to disable the up/down of this feature in the OPF.cfg file but didnt find where it is... any suggestion SUMA?). Other thing is a conflict with a gamepad a guy reported a long time before*cant remember that's old* unplug it. Last thing is the config u can have with your joystick (i configure my Sidewinder joy with OPF panel and SDcentral *i can add some commands and script via another programm called "Automate" thought to do a complex movement: but that just for fun... keep all in a piece is hard in flying )
Random 0 Posted May 19, 2002 Yeah, if you're using a joystick, make sure the throttle is centred because the throttle controls the altitude.
alx 20 Posted May 19, 2002 Thanks for your replies. Now that you mention it, I use the mouse & keyboard to fly everything but I do have an old CH Flightstick plugged in which is recognised & can be used by OFP. I'll check that the throttle wheel isn't turned up (I bet it is !. Thanks again Alx
