-BZ- Wardog 0 Posted May 17, 2002 Well I ponied up and bought the game..One of the features I saw talked about was the "Voice over the net" real time comms...Now I play alot of Battlezone II Online and we often use Battlecomm for this purpose(a better version of Roger Wilco)..But I need to know if the voice coms are included in the stock/patched OFP game, or if there is a specific voice com program most regular online players use... You have a full-duplex sound card. 2. You complete the Voice Setup in the OFP Preferences program. 3. You toggle voice communications on by pressing the CAPS LOCK key once you are on a server. 4. Select the appropriate voice channel by cycling through them using the COMMA and PERIOD keys. You'll also find that anytime someone new joins a game, you'll have to toggle voice off and back on in order for everyone to communicate. I'm not sure what causes this, but its an old bug that has been there from the beginning.

It is true, that if someone connects, he can't hear you and you can't hear him for let's say 30 seconds up to 1 minute. Maybe you only aren't waiting long enough (maybe it's real in your case), but it works fine (except of the delay) for me and all i know. Just give it a try to wait and see what happens. OK, i only have another prob with using InGameVoice -> I need to run Roger Wilco in the background to enable my InGameVoice But as it doesn't require to be connected anywhere (RW), it's not a real problem to run it behind the scene Just for info Wardog: I was using Roger Wilco since i bought OFP (june 22 last year) and i thought that IGV can't beat it, but once we started using IGV, i have to say it's really good to use. You can use different channels: group: only ppl in your group can hear you side: only ppl on your side can hear you global: everybody can hear you vehicle: only ppl in the same vehicle you are can hear you direct: only ppl close to you can hear you lol the last one is a funny one, if you are standing in front of the guy, who's talking to you - just watch his lips while he's talking ~S~ CD
