Locking targets after patch 1.59

Hello,

after Install of Patch 1.59 i can not lock targets anymore. For example Apache only shows grey or flickering grey/red targets. Pressing Tab as usual for locking does not work (Hellfire).

I have seen no comments on changes of Locks in the Readme, so anybody an idea?

Appreciate any help

it's not possible lock targets you don't see or not revealed and it's not possible anymore lock people etc.

Dwarden, i also already noticed this behaviour but it is nearly impossible to reproduce, it happens completely randomly. Fact's i can say about:

- the target is a vehicle that usually can be locked by appropriate weapons (like a T-72, just to name a example)

- the selected weapon is able to lock on the target regardless of difficulty settings like a AGM-65 (BIS default).

- there is line of sight to the target and range doesn't matter (can fly over the target a few meters above it).

On the radar screen, the contact dot rapidly changes between grey and red, several times per second. To get a lock is next to impossible.

I would have made a CIT ticket if i knew how to safely reproduce it. It doesn't happen all the time and i can't nail down any similarities when it happens.

Ok. As [GLT] Mike says, i had clearly possible Targets.

Dwarden: My Readme gave me no Information about these changes in targeting. Are cars lockable? If not, are they lockable, when ground force lasers? Is somewhere a list of lockable Vehicles?

What do you mean by that - per Game Session / per new Targets...

I had the effect yesterday the whole time. Today I was able to lock a tank.

So I am having Hope now...

I meant i can't make a repro mission since at every mission start it is random if this problem occurs or not. If it does it is consistent as long the mission runs but, at least at my side, not for all possible targets but only a few.

readme is incomplete ('m sorry), check the beta's changelog

wait that's very old change ... ok i'm wrong it may be bug

please CIT-IT and create correct bug report ticket with repro steps or/and repro mission

yes found sparse info in the Changelog now...

In my case it seemed to be session-linked, not mission-linked.

I had this effect yesterday in all missions, was on different servers with different missions and in my own editor-missions. But I did not restart Arma. Because I patched before i thought it is something new, that i just did not get...

Perhaps a too early alarm - but it is some bug, isnt it.

But today, it is like you said, i can not reproduce it.

So i wait until it occurs again and then log and describe everything exactly.
