Genesis 0 Posted May 17, 2002 542 kills on 542 bullets is also "better" than 93 kills on 93 bullets. If you can call some killing better than other, that is. And Simo took all these in 100 days period. End of story. If we go with this logic, the best sniper is the maggot that blasted with a one 12.7 mm DShK bullet through multiple enemies. Bullets dont cost that much.

In one accounting, 32 Finn soldiers held off 4000 Russian infantrymen. By the end of the failed communist attack, 400 Soviets lay dead and the rest in retreat. Only 4 Finns survived, but they held the line. You cannot help but be amazed by this kind of sacrifice and bravery." <span id='postcolor'> Does this mean he was fighting for the Axis powers? Snipers that worked for the "evil" Nazis don't count.
Genesis 0 Posted May 17, 2002 In 1939-1940 Finland in no way was co-operating with Germany or any other Axis power. Finland was fighting pretty much alone, although some volunteers from ex-Estonia, Sweden, Great Britain and Spain and a bunch of other countries joined the Finns in their desperate fighting against hopeless odds. Still, they managed to keep their independence. And, Finns indeed did receive material supply from Germany plus had a minor-sized German armed forces in their country fighting the Soviet Union forces during CONTINUATION WAR 1941-1944. But Finland leaders many times stated, that they are fighting their own war, as a individual army, not joining the NSDAP cause. BTW did you know that Christopher Lee, the actor of Saruman from LOTR was fighting in Winter War with Finns.
