oktyabr 12 Posted March 3, 2011 Ok, so I'm getting close, "over the hump" anyway, on a map for Arma2 and wonder what it would take to make it OA/CO compatible? I've searched some for a tutorial or guide or something but haven't found the real answers. Mostly I'd like to use a few of BIS's buildings and such from OA. Thanks in advance! oldbear 390 Posted March 3, 2011 An ArmA2 map is playable as a CO map. My Vostok map featuring only ArmA2 items is played on a regular basis by my game Team , Clan [ADO], on our dedicated server along ArmA2 and OA missions. My Tigeria map, at the moment in early alpha development stage, is played by my team mates playing CO. The terrain is featuring ArmA2 and ArmA2:OA objects as well. From experience, there is nothing special to do in order to get the Map "CO compatible". If you are going to use ArmA2:OA buildings and objects, the map will became a CO map. But before using OA buildings and objects, have a look about some of the topics on the subject, as this one : OA building icons lost ! : http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=108849 and this one : OA Pbo's for mapping : http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=101407
oktyabr 12 Posted March 3, 2011 Thanks Old Bear! I was trying to keep it "vanilla" for compatibility sake but would really like to use a few buildings and such from OA. I'll be giving those links a good read ASAP
