Another Hater 10 Posted February 23, 2011 (edited) Hello. My arma 2 co has not launched since i verified my Arma 2 cache. There is no error message it just does not start.Ive tried reinstalling arma 2 and OA and verfying the cache but it still wont work.It worked fine before but since i did that it wont launch.OA and arma 2 work just fine. when i go to launch CO, a black box appears for a half a second.im not sure but i think it is a DOS fileThis always happend when i launched co before and CO started up fine unless i closed the steam window. If i did the steam window it it would co wont start much like its doing now. my operating system is windows 7 64 bit.sorry if i did not explain my problem well also, i dont know if this may have something to do with the problem, but i keep all my addons in the addons folder for arma 2 ive never had any problems with doing that, since i dont ever use arma to by itself. i also installed OA first before i installed arma 2 in short,i think verfing my arma 2 game cache may have messed up CO Upon screen shotting the black box it seems to say this error:ERROR the system was unable to find the specified registry key or value Edited February 23, 2011 by Another Hater
vohk 10 Posted February 23, 2011 Run ArmA 2 on it's own at least once (as administrator). Verifying the cache may have messed with the registry entries.

Gunter Severloh 4070 Posted February 23, 2011 (edited) but i keep all my addons in the addons folder for arma 2 ive never had any problems with doing that This could be part of the problem, this is something you should not do, you need to make a mod folder for your addons that you use that you have downloaded outside of the game, or you will continue to get issues. Mod folders 1. Create a folder and give it a title 2.create another folder inside the folder you made in step 1 title it addons 3. put all pbo files into the addons folder 4. put all addons related to each other like cars with cars, planes with planes in mod folders together. 5. add your mod folder to your shortcut target line---> -nosplash -mod=@mymod Mod folders are a way to run addons and mods without conflicts with files that the game itself need to run, mod folders are also a way to organise any addons and mods you do have and are running. Last note: Never ever put addons in the main game directory addons folder! I'd suggest removing the addons from the addons folder and then see what your game does, if you still have an issue even after you did that then maybe try reinstalling.
