Mohamz 0 Posted May 15, 2002 Hi, when do sunsets and sunrises occure in opf? Do they change with the date, I know that would be too much, but I been so often surprised by this game Mods: this is not off topic, I really need the info in one of my mission...And want the exact time. Thanks
suma 8 Posted May 15, 2002 The timing is realistic, latitude 40 degress North, no daylight saving time.
Intruder 0 Posted May 15, 2002 You can get a nice Red sky by setting the date to about January, and the time to sunrise. Looks cool with clear weather

But what would be the sunrise time then? Do I have to try all early hours, or is it selectable "Sunrise", "Sunset"... I'm at work now and I can't test it. Intruder 0 Posted May 15, 2002 Sunrise during the winter is rather late, about 7:30 (I think), during the summer its much earlier. Just open up the mission editor and play about with the date and just preview it.
theavonlady 2 Posted May 15, 2002 Tides also go in and out and - remember - you can navigate by the stars in OFP. Well, some of us can, anyway.
KingN 251 Posted May 15, 2002 Are there tides too? I didn't know that...
Intruder 0 Posted May 15, 2002 Nor did I, got to check that out sometime. As for navigating the stars, I usually get lost, like in that Escape mission

WhoCares 0 Posted May 15, 2002 Now we know the Latitude - can someone calculate now the Longitude so I can check on the Globe where my next vacation goes? Some places at ~40 Degree North Lat.: Beijing (China), Philadelphia (USA), Columbus (USA), near miss Denver (USA), Menorca (Spain), Ankara (Turkey)
DestroyerX 0 Posted May 15, 2002 Yeah I also noticed that you can 'play' with the time and date to get some cool effects.
Yoshiro 0 Posted May 16, 2002 Its better than anything else out there right now. At least untill Independance lost or VBS1 is generously giving to the public by the marines when they declare world peace.
