texkaz 33 Posted February 12, 2011 So I have the store bought versions of ARMA 2 and OA. I was looking into buying BAF or PMC but noticed that they are for use as DLC only for steam and steam-like services. It sounds like if I download these add-ons it wont work on my store-purchased versions. Will they? Or is there somewhere you can buy PMC and BAF for the box versions? Wanna be sure before I waste my money.

Beagle 684 Posted February 12, 2011 (edited) DLC will work with DVD version. I got mine from sprocket, it took some time to download with 80kb/s but it worked. At 18th of march there will be a DVD release of both DLCs named: ArmA II: Reinforcements Edited February 12, 2011 by Beagle
Noraf 0 Posted February 14, 2011 just remember that steam releases are for steam versions only, for other versions of the game, use sprocket, or wait for the dvd ( witch will cost more than those from sprocket i saw ;) )

Yes go with Sprocket for your DVD add-on. That's what I did too. There seem to be a lot less complaints about sprocket. Sprocket DLCs update seamlessley with BIS patches. With Steam, every time there is a new patch release, you need to download the entire DLC again. Also, I believe BIS has an ownership stake in Sprocket, so if you buy through Sprocket, more of your money goes directly to BIS rather than middlemen.
