OIFVET101 10 Posted February 6, 2011 I am very impressed with the game especially some of the mods used. as far as realism goes Arms2 is outstanding for the modern era. I am wondering though as a retired soldier and a current history major if there is any interest in using the the existing codes to make a World War II version. I play COD5 mainly at the moment and I know that there is a huge community base who really loves the WWII era but most of teh games out don't really allow the gamer to truly experience the WWII battlefield since most FPS are rather static. I would personally love to see Shermans and Tigers on the battlefield with full support from artillery and mortors and the like. Most battle maps from the various WWII campaigns are readily available and I feel they could be easily implemented into something currently used by Bohemia for the ARMA series. I would love to see the dinamic battlefields possible in ARMA used for a true WWII war sim. Not sure if anyone else out there has the same interest in this area as myself but if so add to my thread maybe we can get something going. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Rindier 10 Posted February 10, 2011 To further expand on froggys post above I44 is probally the best quallity mod out there at the moment for WWII. The onyl other one i know of at the moment is the 31st normandy mod wich has an INSANE amount of content compared to I44 howver only some of it is quallity. it also has alot of incomplete/poorly done modles. I44 not as much content (yet) but much higher quallity. EDIT: also you should drop me a message. Would be nice to chat it up with another history enthusiast! oxmox 69 Posted February 11, 2011 (edited) I wished more people would play these mods online, didnt find really good populated server so far. But I did find a WW2 game called "Battleground Europe", its some kind of mmorpg. They offer f2p content since a short time after the trial (no credit card) runs out, quiete cool and I play this sometimes. It reminds a bit on arma but the world is huge. You can capture bunkers, drive tanks, fly planes and a lot more. Check it out if you want, you cant do something wrong as long it is f2p...
