Weapon use animation tweak for lowest level AI

Recommended Posts

When it comes to non-skilled users using their weapoins e.g. AK AI user with low skill level shooting their gun show this. For instance they are behind a car they hold the AK with two hands above their head aimlessly spraying. It was just a thought when it comes to skill level of the enemy not directly noticeable for levels above or higher but certainly should be obvious that the lowest level shooters, have no idea how to use the weapon etc.

This just made me realise that the AI's skills are kind of backward; If you use setUnitAbility 0.05 or something, the AI will usually take single shots, though obviously not hit much. If their UnitAbility is normal, they will either use full auto or fire single shots very rapidly, getting good hits.

As noted above, an unskilled fighter would be more likely to shoot bursts of automatic fire, whereas a better-trained individual would probably fire aimed aingle shots.

Although I'm actually fairly happy with this situation because using setUnitAbility you can make firefights look/sound better because the rate of fire becomes slower and more random.

A highly complex and functionally useless CoD-inspired spraying animation is a tweak?
