Vok5 10 Posted January 9, 2011 (edited) Hello, I bought the game yesterday and I played through some boot camp missions. Everything went well and I decided to try a scenario mission. This is where I got a weird sound bug. I don't know why, but the sound volume in the scenario is incredibly low compared to any boot camp mission. In boot camp, it is perfect, the sound is good. I try to change the sound configuration in sound options but it changed nothing. It sounds like in the scenario, it is only 20% of the actual sound volume instead of 100% in boot camp. I hope someone will know what to do with that. Oh and by the way, I play with headphones or stereo speakers and it is the first time it happens to me. Thank you. Edit : I just installed ACE mod to play with some friends and it fixed the problem when playing with ACE. Baz 0 Posted February 20, 2011 same exact problem here with trial by fire single player mission and the russian one where your in the BMP3 and have to recapure Electrozavosk... Seems to me that I only noticed it in OA / CO, stand alone arma 2 did not have this problem when I first played it before CO. Its something with the mission and the dialog speeches / talking that goes on, it fades the game sound away too... Like firing rifle and helicopter sounds etc... mcarma 19 Posted February 20, 2011 (edited) This might help some peeps using Windows 7. However it doesn't help me. lol Go to control panel>sound>communications and check "do nothing". OR try this below (works for me) change the values for the two lines below that are in the '[playername].ArmA2OAProfile' file volumeFX=20; volumeSpeech=20; I increased values 5 and 6 to 20 and 20 and it makes a big difference. I assume the sound scaling is way off in the game. Edited March 4, 2011 by McArma
