The Hebrew Hammer 10 Posted December 21, 2010 So, I'll lay out what I did in order: -Bought CO from Sprocket -was emailed the download mirrors -d/l'd OA -played OA -patched 1.56 -installed CBA, SoW, Zeus -d/l'd ArmA 2 So I go to run the set up, and it just didn't work run. The short cut doesn't have a graphic of Arma 2, just of a little menu. What's the deal? it seems to me that I'm just getting two different games, and it's not really combined operations. What do I do, shouldn't there be a Combined Ops folder somewhere in my program files?
demonized 20 Posted December 21, 2010 first off, ive bought A2 and OA separatly but i asume CO is just the 2 in one download. How to install asuming there is seperate setup.exe for A2 and OA. 1: install A2 and run a mission and save ingame(this to add the reg keys to PC) 2: install OA and run and save again. 3: install any dlc you have BAF, PMC no mods yet. 4: update to 1.56 and run game save it again. 5: install all your mods, zeus, CBA ACE etc etc.. make sure to install OA in same folder as A2 else patching will not work correctly. The Hebrew Hammer 10 Posted December 21, 2010 Okay, I'm uninstalling them and then reinstalling in the correct order. So should it be like: BHI\Arma2\Arma2OA Or should it be: BHI\Arma and BHI\Arma2 OA that's how it was earlier, but it didn't seem like CO. How do I run CO if it's just two seperate installations? This is making me rage, I'm thinking of going and getting the disc version.
W0lle 1052 Posted December 22, 2010 Install ArmA2, run it once. Then install OA into the same folder as ArmA2. Where you install ArmA2 doesn't matter.
The Hebrew Hammer 10 Posted December 22, 2010 okay... I now have it installing as program files > BHI > ArmA 2 > BHI > Arma 2 OA it's making another BHI folder inside of the one that contains the data for Arma 2 the way I had it ealier was program files > BHI > Arma 2 ------------------>Arma 2 OA
demonized 20 Posted December 22, 2010 when you installed A2 in program files > BHI > ArmA 2 then set that exact same path for OA install, it doesnt overide anything from a2, both a2 and OA exe should be in same folder when youre done.

The Hebrew Hammer 10 Posted January 25, 2011 I've had it fixed for awhile, you have to edit your registry otherwise OA won't recognize your arma 2 folder

pooroldspike 129 Posted January 26, 2011 My two cents- I bought Combined Ops via download from Gamersgate thinking it'd be one download, but discovered it was two separate downloads (AA2 and OA) and that I was expected to combine them myself, grrr... Anyway I had a shot several times at combining them but failed miserably, probably because I'm just a grunt wargamer, not a PC expert. I finally solved it by buying two AA2 and OA disks, and was able to combine the disks smooth as silk even though it meant I've now had to buy the games twice! (download and disk) Maybe trying to combine downloaded stuff is more difficult than doing it with disks, I dunno..
sickboy 13 Posted January 26, 2011 All there should be to it is to install the games into the same folder. Install A2 in C:\games\arma2, AND install OA in C:\games\arma2 not C:\games\arma2\arma2oa or whatever.

(download and disk) Maybe trying to combine downloaded stuff is more difficult than doing it with disks, I dunno.. hi i allso bought Combined Ops from GamersGate and had the same problem here what u do. once ArmA 2 is installed download patch 1.00 to 1.07 then install it, then install ArmA 2 OA make sure it installs it to where it installed ArmA 2 then download patch 1.57 for ArmA 2 and OA and install it and thats it then if u have BAF,PMC u install them into the same folder forgot to say install BAF,PMC before u patch to 1.57 couse that allso has the updates for BAF,PCM and it willl update AA2/OA/BAF/PCM all at once hope this helps did for me. what it was is ArmA 2 from gamersgate comes with patch 1.6 so when u install OA it trys to overwrite the folder and gets muddled up and couses errors but if u install patch 1.7 then it doesnt have to overwrite anything when u install patch 1.57 for ArmA 2 and OA that comes with 1.08 update. note. cant remeber but u might have to stop ArmA 2 from patching the game after it installs it or it might ask u if u want to patch the game something like that just dont let it patch it, patch it ur self to **1.07** Edited January 27, 2011 by st3vouk
