avengerzx 10 Posted December 17, 2010 (edited) I know this has been asked by someguy before, not sure when. but today I've just seen a video made by OpticalSnare (Old Video for his WarFX) R1vDlnKBITs Strangely the Harrier could do a Vertical Take-off instead of Vertical and or Short Take-off Anyone know how to do this? (Either way scripting or what) AV-8B is capable of performing Vertical Take-offs but in ARMA 2 now is only Short Take-off function. Tonci87 163 Posted December 17, 2010 Just enable Auto Hover, this should do the trick
SigintArmA 10 Posted December 17, 2010 IRL the AV8 can only do Vertical when at a certain weight limit. IE no bombs/low fuel. I know a couple experts. I'll post up requirements to do what kind of landing/takeoff when I get time to talk with'm. But for now, I must rest!
avengerzx 10 Posted December 17, 2010 Auto Hover allows the Vertical take-off? Nope, the plane still moves forward when pressing Q (Currently only Short Takeoff function is activated) Found, in Air.pbo in Bohemia Interactive\ARMA 2\AddOns. Unpack and edit the Config value vtol = 3;
BadgerDK 10 Posted December 23, 2010 I thought the whole point of the Harrier was VTOL to/from FARP in the woods of Europe during ww3?
Daniel 0 Posted December 23, 2010 Think that was the original concept, but if you read it into it, Harriers will take off and land conventionally whenever possible. As stated above, they can only take off vertically under the lightest of loadouts.
