rudellj 10 Posted November 27, 2010 Hello! I've been playing the game since it came out... with the newest patch it has made the game unplayable. It constantly crashes to desktop and etc. I have: i7 930 OC'ed to 3.78ghz 12 gigs DDR3 1600 ram 2x nvidia 480s windows 7 its a dell alienware Area 51 ALX... it ran the game constantly on 55-60 frames prior to the new patch. Now with the new patch i hit 65ish frames (so there is a performance increase)... HOWEVER, the game constantly crashes to desktop and is not responding. I will not turn down the graphics - the whole point of me buying this system was to run the game on max settings, which i can. The issue is the patch causing ctd. any known fixes? ive glanced at the forums but havent found anything.
GTDAWG 10 Posted November 27, 2010 I feel your pain ! since patch there is probably thousands that cant play the game (specially multiplayer). As to a fix well BIS hasnt said a peep yet as to what they are doing about it? Or if they are doing anything at all. Alot of disapointment coming from loyal ARMA players lately. Flash Thunder 10 Posted November 28, 2010 Yeah these latest patches have good fixes yet they come at the cost of lower FPS and less stability. as of lately my alt tab has been locking up, CTD's and for me I get lower FPS in OA. I can blame my hardware aswell heres my specs GPU: 9800gtx latest drivers 512mb overclocked CPU: amd phenom 9750 @2.4 ghz HDD: 750GB @7000rpm RAM: 8GB high frequency OS: Vista 64bit SP2 Some settings that rape performance Post Processing HDR settings Terrain Detail
CameronMcDonald 146 Posted November 28, 2010 (edited) Whenever you get a crash, go to: Username / Appdata / Local / ArmA2OA and zip up the arm2oa.rpt, arma2oa.bidmp and arma2oa.mdmp files. Send them with an email describing how the crash happened, what version you are running and your system specs to dwarden's email which is his forumnick (at) bistudio.com. If you don't send this stuff in, who's meant to know what's going on on your end? Edited November 28, 2010 by Dwarden

rscarrab 10 Posted November 28, 2010 Im curious, is anyone with an ATi GPU experiencing these issues? (btw im using a GTX480, suffering from CTD's with 1.55 and all beta's beyond it :() Ive made a ticket for this, vote it up so it gets more priority! http://dev-heaven.net/issues/15410 Could you guys check your arma2OA.RPT (with notepad) and ctrl+f to see if you have these lines in it; "Exception code: C0000005 ACCESS_VIOLATION" and/or "Driver:nvd3dum.dll" Much appreciated if you do. Cheers. :)

edjcox 10 Posted November 30, 2010 Since installing upgarde 1.55 I can only play for 10 minutes before my game slows down to a crawl and then crashes. Downloaded Beta but that does the same thing. There seems to have been a memory leak introduced having to do with the video. The video goes wierd before the crash. Help BI please. Your losing all of your players as many many have this issue..
