Help with ArmA 2

Recommended Posts

I have an Nvidia 9600 GT with the drivers 8.17.12.6089, Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit, Intel® Core2 Duo CPU E7500 @ 2.93GHz (2 CPUs), Direct X 11 and Arma 2 patched to 1.07. The problem is that ArmA 2 is crashing incredibly easily.

For example, when I get only 2 snipers to shoot 5 enemy soldiers, ArmA freezes and with a "ArmA 2 has stopped responding" message, crashes to desktop. I've tried everything, from compability view to no anti alising but nothing works:mad:. please help me.

Toss the Beta 260.89's. I used them on Vista 64 with 480 GTX. Once Empire Total War crashed, the event log pointed to the driver. Then almost all of my titles started crashing, with the event log pointing to the driver.

Just hope the next beta or WHQL has the performance optimizations the 260.89's have. Which if i remember correctly, didn't have any for your card listed. I got about 15% or more FPS boost in most of the titles i have installed.

Guys theres already a thread discussing a similar problem to yours:

http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=109102

Please use descriptive thread titles, like Arma2 is crashing.

If the game is crashing then search for posts that are related.

In the link I provided there are links I posted that you can look through to find a possible answer,

but do us all a favor and help out and keep the level of posts that are related to posts existing down

to a minimum, otherwise our forums here get littered with many posts discussing the same stuff,

and it makes it hard for newer guys coming in to find answers.

All you new guys please

review the rules before you post:

http://forums.bistudio.com/misc.php?do=showrules

Last but not least on the link at the top to the other thread,

refer to my last post about the RPT and see if that shows anything for you.

Just trying to help you guys out.
