How do i find my position on the map?

How do I find my position on the map when playin in Veteran mode? Or how do i reply to the message " Where are you ? " in multi or single player game?

ahem i should say u to dont get lost.... or have an idea where u are:

use remarkable point like rocks, forest, town( read the town's panel), crossroad.... and your compass.

Dont worry till u learn the maps u ll get lost alot in the start, and quite few after some training.

*i ll suggest u to create a map with a chopper in a island and fly around and check where u are after a while*.

Another trick if u are with an AI, it's to call it to come near you, and after u send it to the point u want to go, and just follow it *Laaaaapiiinnn* (i translate in english "Buuuunnnnnnyyyy")

To respond this radio command... i suggest u to do this:

radio "Response", radio "End/finish" (i got it in french "Terminé").

one thing you could do is make sure you are sure where you were and how you get there.

if you were inserted somewhere make sure you check compass when you move. what i ususally do is go in one of 4 directions; N,S,E,W..then at least i know i'm able to know where i am, roughly.

this may take longer distance, but for me, it's better than getting lost.

and as jawk said, remember some points like where rocks are and etc. i would suggest that you also memorize some way trees are aligned. helps sometimes...

It is not possible for human players, only AI can do this.

Only option to get your map coords in Veteran is to get in some vehicle with radar (all vehicles classified as "Armored" or "Air" and boats) or use GPS (if mission maker allows it)

But I think, when leader give "Return to formation" order, every player of his team gets info about leader's location (green circle with "Leader"). It also works in Veteran multiplayer.

if you want to know what position you are, you can order a man to stand near to you (he should anyway) and then call status.

Just for info, you don't need to give any answer

to their "where are you" shouts. They know, where

you are if you e.g: tell them to fall back into formation,

or order them somewhere else. The question for your

position just tells you, that they can't see, what you're

doin at the moment. If you would die, they wouldn't detect

this, since the knows about value is 0. If you hear a guy

shouting "where are you", you also can be sure, he can't

save your rear, if enemies start shooting onto you.
