Militant1006 11 Posted September 30, 2010 I wasn't really sure where to put this, so I put it here anyway, is the L111A1 (M2 .50) ment to have the M240 sound? I do have the full version, I am pretty impressed with the L85 sounds, otherwise I am very disappointed with the other sounds. If the L111A1 is meant to sound like a .50 caliber MG, then I will need help with that, If it makes a difference i bought it off Gamersgate.
TomatoArden 0 Posted September 30, 2010 Hmm, yes I've had had this issue to. You'd think bis would just fix it with their patch since al you have to do is replace one little bit in a config file to fix it? I dunno, it wouldn't be that hard for someone to write their own little fix for it, or you could wait until one of the sound mods fix it (I thik Chammys sound mod might but I use Vop)
pez2k 10 Posted September 30, 2010 It's already been noted in the bug tracker, so BIS should be aware of the problem. There are a few related BAF weapon bugs, like a silent 40mm and 7.62x54 L7A2s, hopefully they'll be cleared up by the next patch.
rexehuk 16 Posted October 1, 2010 Hey Militant, the default BAF sounds are actually rather bad if you compare them to real life. I suggest you give the CSM2:BAF a go, you might be quite impressed and it covers the static gun :).
avengerzx 10 Posted October 2, 2010 Yeah, use CSM2_BAF sounds, the AS50 sound more devastating than the default BAF Sounds
Militant1006 11 Posted October 2, 2010 Thanks for the info guys, by the way I have started to use the CSM2BAF sounds, they are quite good, the only problem is some servers don't allow sound mods. besides this they also have to fix the L110 sounds as it sounds different from the M249 para when they are essentially the same gun. My big recommendation to Bohemia Interactive would be to include a "soundmod" if you want to call it that, somewhere in the future. If that did happen there would be less of a need for soundmods, and since it would be built into the game it could be used on all servers.
