Vanilla OA, planes in CTI Game Mode?

Hi guys!

First of all excuse my n00bness. I tried ti search, and found one guy trying to ask the same thing, but no reply.

We're playing Operation Arrowhead in LAN here. The regular CTI game mode that comes with the game, both the mode with 2 teams against each other, and the 3 teams version.

But our question is can you get airplanes in this gamemode? And if - then how? We've tried both, and we've tried moving HQ to and in the vicinity of an airfield. Put the aircraft factory close to the runway, but still just a greyed out icon of an airplane on Buy Units. Choppers of course work fine.

Go? Or No-go?

I tried to figure this one out too, but with no luck. The only thing I can see is that there aren't any planes in vanilla because East doesn't have a matching counterpart to west planes. Not sure why they left the icon in, maybe for mission makers. Benny Edition is a cool vanilla version of Warfare that has planes, or no planes if you toggle the restriction on. It's the best version for LAN that I have found. Only problem is that it's not COOP yet. We still have fun with it by turning the town resistance up to hard and the number of cities to grab up to large. East AI plays but doesn't come for your base, and doesn't really defend theirs. If you turn up the number of bases the teams are allowed to make, East will build bases in several locations making it harder to finish them off for an extra challenge.

The answer: you need to go inside that blue triangle (hanger) at the airfield. you can see the blue triangle on the map. from there you can buy your fixed wing aircraft.

Yeah, like Gunnarmarine said, but I do believe that you have to have the appropriate upgrades first to be able to access the planes.
