byeohazard 10 Posted September 11, 2010 Not having much luck finding info on this mission. I seem to have a problem with launching sidewinder missiles at the tanks. I get pretty close to them..my gunner fires the machine gun at them automaticly at first..but then stops doing so. I change to the sidewinders..dont seem to get a lock on the targets although I am hovering near the targets or flying over them and around them slowly...my gunner does not attempt to launch the missiles and if I launch them they go off to some distant planet far far away.....changing back to guns does not result in the gunner shooting. Im sure this must be user (me) error..must be missing something somewhere. Any help out there? Ive done ok with the tutorials and other missions but its been a while so may need a refresher. Thanks! lugiahua 26 Posted September 11, 2010 did you by accident gave the cease fire order to gunner? And Aim-9 supposed to be a A2A weapon only, not A2ground or you can try manual fire mode, and gun down those vehicle with the cannon yourself.

Not be used against tanks or armored vehicles. In EW just use your machine gun. Your gunner will cease fire if target is destroyed or if he is in a rear position to your chopper. You just need to turn around
kylania 568 Posted September 21, 2010 I tried this mission for the first time last night. Had this problem: I was totally unable to hit any of the planes taking off with my sidewinders Didn't seem to affect anything though. Then I was killed at the next engagement since I couldn't see what was happening because I was too much in awe over: the "video" overlay on the GPS screen
