Re-texturing, Reskinning, you name it, I need help with it.

Recommended Posts

Hello whoever you are, watching this thread. :)

I've done few reskins in Source engine, and my friend has

allways hexed it and done config for it.

My friend has now left for a while, and I thought about

giving a go at ArmA2 retexturing, thinking myself "how hard can it be?"

First I tried searching forums, but got no answers. Tried asking

some people, but unfortunetally they were unable to provide assistance. :(

All I am wishing to do, is re-texture a few ArmA2 OA SF guys, give them

new weapons and be happy. But yeah, thats where I crash, I have

no idea where to begin. I've seen there are multiple reskins and retextures

of for example US Marines from vanilla A2, so I presume it is possible

with OA units aswell.

Thanks in advance to whoever at least tries to help me out. :)

The crash comes of because the. p3d is damaged. ;)

Make sure that the length of the character remains the same of the Original Model ("/" & "_" & ".paa" be counted includet !)

For example:

Original.

ca/air_e/ch47/data/blabla.paa

= 29 sign´s

Hex.

C1987/air_e/ch47/data/bla.paa

= 29 sign´s

lol hex editing? come on it's 2010.

http://dev-heaven.net/projects/mikero-pbodll/files

Download pbo dll and moveobject, and then make a bat file like this:

c:\users\username\desktop\arma2work\mikero\moveobject.exe foxus_2003mg.p3d foxus\foxus_2003armymen foxus\foxus_usarmyastan

pause

just change what you need to

you have a steam?
