Soft edge of shadow?

In any town or city, if you look at those shadows of buildings you can see the edge of shadow is to 'sharp' or 'hard', so can BI or some moder make a post process effect to 'soft' the edge of shadow? Making the edge somewhat blury would bring better visual effect.

I set shadow to 'very high'.

I think this is more to do with the "type" of Shadow lod used. If you look at a soldier stood by a building or out in open ground, you'll notice he casts a "soft" shadow, where-as any weapons he is holding/carrying, will cast a "hard" shadow. Not sure if that could be fixed by PP filters, I think it'd require editing of the models to use the dfferent resolution shadow lods.

Shadows have always been odd in this game. Some feel soft, others feel like they're still stencil. Some shadows don't even move when they should (bicycle wheels)
