Brilliant new island download

I just found this brilliant download over at Ofp internals.

"Real present territory data - "National Training Center (NTC) at Fort Irwin, CA USA. West Leach Spring Area" - was received from gren and succesfully imported into WrpEdit. Elevation values were shifted lower by 800 meters for "flood effect". Whole island covered by "sand" texture, static objects not present (like at "Desert Island"). "

Its a massive map, brilliant for huge battles in remote areas of desert, or if you like base building, brilliant for that too. This is an entirely new island.

This island is old as dirt.

I can't even stand it either... Thought it would be "alright", with a better viewdistance, but it's just so lame.

If it had grass, trees and bushes on it, it would be better, but that would take more time.

oh right, well I think its good. particularly for air battles.

it's nice for air missions but i couldn't find a suitable location for a "hilltop assault" mission that i wanted to make. oh well resistance on june 26th

Shea right.

I can't WAIT for resistance... Everything is beautiful about it, and I'm sure the island will provide MANY, MANY hours of enjoyment.

I'm already SO bored of this game... Mainly due to the fact that I know all the islands, and I only like one of them, and that's Everon.

I never thought this game would get boring, but oh well!

I'm not bored with this game. I'm playing it since June 2001 (demo in March) and i'm still not bored. I'm playing this game almoust every day. If i have time. I could easily enjoy this game for a few more months without resistance.

I can see how, if you don't know how to use the mission editor properly, it can get boring, but with the mission editor and the countless new units that are coming out you can have endless fun making levels!

I haven't even played through the campaign, nor all the single missions. I find multiplayer and editing much more fun.

well i can map edit properly and im totally bored, the huey that came provided some relief but im gettin sick of all the units being the same, bring on motorbikes

:-) just think about the possibilities if you had every single unit/ vehicle/ plane/ weapon in the world in the game.

Yeah... Like this game engine could handle it.

I just want more islands... Like, REAL islands. Not this desert and snow garbage... Yuck.

I think the island on Resistance will be AWSOME... So many new textures, buildings, trees... *DROOOOL*

I could only imagine going on a rampage with my AKM then.

i want a penninsula or something just build minefield and missile batteries into the map. islands getting kinda boring
