super ai

Recommended Posts

hi,

just got a query bout the super AI option. ive read that it maxes out all the AI bots you meet in the campaign.

how many people play with it on? im lookin for a realistic, challenging experience. what i dont want is the AI to have superhuman skills which would make the game very frustating.

also,

i see that its possible to play the campaign coop in OA. is this also possible in arma2?

I use Super AI when I am not using ZeusAI mod, as it gives the enemy a better survival chance. And keep you on your toes(or fingers). If you think it's very frustrating then don't use SuperAI, as it only makes the AIs response and shoot you more accurately.

Coop is possible on Arma2 campaign as well.

Hope that helps.

Hi all

Zeus AI is more effective than a standard COD player in MP so use that.

Kind Regards walker

I usually run both enemy and friendly AI at 1.0, but sometimes I lower the enemy, because it seems pretty stupid seeing US army soldiers getting totally owned by a few Taliban.

If superAI is enabled all units have skill of 1.0 regardless of the skill slider setting done by mission designer! Both skill settings - skill and precision are getting the highest value.

UltraAI/SuperAI doesnt reflect realistic combat skills/behaviour. Quite the opposite happens and the AI will ruin the immersion of missions. Enabling this feature turns the AI into godlike snipers - even with machineguns. Movements are getting too slow under combat.

I would suggest to change/test skill settings (skillFriendly, skillEnemy, precisionFriendly, precisionEnemy) in your Arma2/Arma2OA profile.
