Hello, Ive been slowly but surely plugging away on getting an authentic (within limits) AH-1W into Arma. Ive spent most of my time in the cockpit trying to get as much cockpit interaction as possible without crashing the game. Some things just aren't completely doable in ARMA 3, but there are some work arounds I have found and some things unfortunately just wont work as they do in real life. I think itll be another month or so until its ready and released. In the mean time I'm starting a little side project and learning how to do terrains. I'm trying to get atleast proficient in several skills before I deploy because I'm going to try to use my off time to build mods. The terrain will be a reproduction of AUTEC Andros Island. Ive been there dozen or so times. I'm going to model the large island where the base is, then model one or two of the adjacent islands. This will mainly probably be a helicopter/amphibious type map. AH-1W source files (UPDATED) SCRIPT QUESTION

ADDED: Ive moved along and continued editing A2 samples and some of the stuff authors have released in forums that are ok with their stuff being edited. Kind of make due with what ya got, which is cool. Ive started work on the cockpits and this is where I want to try to spend some time, add something nice. On my AH-1W I'm using the AIM-9M, (Ive been able to actually only find AIM-9L's but whetever theyre pretty close.) Ive added a push button for sidewinder cool in the gunner and pilots seats, I'm still working on getting it functional, I'm trying to make it so the Winder gives you no tone rise and degraded acquisition until sidewinder cool is turned on. With all the reading Ive been doing with cockpit tutorials, I haven't really found anything that approached degraded systems coding/scripting until proper interlocks/controls have become functional. One or two I did find were kind of all or nothing, the weapon worked 100 percent with a certain interlock engaged or not all, which I may go to ultimately if I cant figure out how to do this, an added bonus would be that Id like to make the winder cool function only work for a few minutes then your winders degrade, (typical LAU-7 time lines.) Any one broached this problem? Ideas where to begin? Thank you. R/ Kludo Hello, I'm shooting this out as just sort of a shot in the dark. I'm trying to find someone who has a 1W mod completed that would be willing to work out getting the source files. I have contacted some authors and have waited a little more then a week with no reply. I'm not interested in stealing credit for someones work or anything of that nature. I have several (paid for) 3d models (outside/cockpit) I was hoping to use someones ARMA 3 AH-1W as sort of a template as I'm pretty crude with coding (Ive found some "free use" AH-1W/1Z mix overs but when I try to work in the 3d models I have it becomes error land so I was hoping something closer to the 1W would be easier to use to get started. (I'm most interested in making a more functioning cockpit using some of the newer tutorials Ive seen floating around. Id be more then happy to attribute said original author, include pictures of them on the side of the aircraft whatever, we can work something out. I'm currently at a joint USN/USMC command and it's something I'm interested in doing before I xfer from here working with 1W's and 1Z's. R/ Kludo- 3 replies
