Meanstreak 10 Posted May 24, 2010 (edited) Had a search but can't seem to find the answer to a problem I've been having the last few weeks or so. I play warefare on one or two servers and I find that most of the time now that after playing a while I hear no more reports of towns being captured, or any reports from command. I can be in a camp what seems like forever and not capture it (like my presence is not detected there), I become invincible to the enemy.. it's like they just don't see me and my weapons have no effect on them at all. Yet I still see all the other players moving around on the map so I am still connected. Does anyone else have these problems? It's a complete multiplayer gamebreaker for me. I have done a complete and thorough uninstall and reinstallation but the problem remains. Seems to be fine untill I get my first death and respawn. Scrub 0 Posted July 18, 2010 Seems it is reproducable, and a serious issue. I'd think you would be better served making a ticket on the arma 2 Community Issue Tracker. Be as concise as you can, describe the issue. If you can, call out the mission, or supply the mission file, and describe steps to reproduce the problem. Typically takes 5-10min and gives Devs a MUCH better perspective on the problem. Good luck!
walker 0 Posted July 18, 2010 Hi Meanstreak What Scrub forgot to say is go here: http://dev-heaven.net/wiki/39 Register with it then click New issue and fill in the form. As Scrub say it does not take long and provides real data that allows the Devs to track down the problem. To me it sounds like a variable in one of the loops is going over its highest or below zero expected value. The Devs need to look to see which values are the largest during later running and or look at the the log files for servers prior to the state existing. Perhaps an admin console needs to be run on a public server where this typically happens, so as to enable all variable states to be monitored. Kind Regards walker
Pulverizer 1 Posted July 18, 2010 Do you have a lot of desync when this happens? (you can check it from map screen-> players)
Meanstreak 10 Posted July 21, 2010 Sorry, guys just noticed your replys.. Thanks for the heads up I will try and do this but I'm not very PC savvy. How do I check for desynch Pulverizer? I've hear that a poor connection speed or bandwidth problem may not help the situation and mine aren't too good. Regards.
ck-claw 1 Posted July 21, 2010 As Pulverizer says, in game open map, then click players tab! Then on the right you will have stats for Ping/desync etc! Click on your name or you can see others.
