Session Lost/ You were kicked off the game.

Well title says it all.

I just bought and finally downloaded Arma2, got it patched to 1.05 from the website.

Any time I try and connect to a server, I get a "Session Lost" or a "You were kicked off the game" message.

I have ensured that the game is added to my firewall exception list, and no I do not use a router.

Anyone know of any solutions to this problem?

I've noticed it says I am using a modified file CA.

Maybe that is the reason I am getting kicked?

When I tried patching 1.05 I got some errors at the end which I chose Ignore to, it was all things related to Steam.

I purchased my game from Direct2Drive.

Anyone know of any solutions to this problem? I've searched google and seen that other people do have the same issues, but the discussions are short with no solution.

Just a thought Magnum. Are you sure you are not trying to join mod servers? I play vanilla and have noticed an increasing number of servers require players to be runnung the ACE mod which means I can't join them

Magnum, As a test, filter for SBS server, Its is vanilla arma NO MODS see if you can join that if you can,, then it is as pipscouse says, you are trying to join servers that require mods.... "always check the server name and details"

This is your issue, right there.

What to do :

1) Uninstall (sorry :( )

2) Reinstall

3) Patch to 1.04 (<- NOT 1.05!)

4) Patch to 1.05. You should have no error this time, no reference to Steam but to "DVD Version", this time.

5) Enjoy MP :)

Downloaded version + Windows 7 (maybe a subset like Win 7 64, I've not tested with 7 32bits) + patch 1.05 = game is badly detected as "Steam", badly patched, and some signatures end up corrupted, making you kicked out of any server. Going through 1.04 patch 1st will get your installation recognized as a DVD install, and patch 1.05 will go on smoothly

well my problem is similar to Magnum´s but maybe also diffrent.

I often get the Message That Session is lost!

My Ping is everytime about 60-70,i have an Original Game buyed in Software Dealer and i have an Original Key.

And i don´t know what to do.I have an DSL 2000 from German Telekom and no Router or things like that only an Modem.Sometimes i can play lots of hours without being interrupted and sometimes i´m getting kicked after a few minutes or seconds.Who knows how to fix this problem?

I play mostly on our AIGB-Clan Server and when I play on other Servers i´m not getting kicked as often as on our server.I´m using no Addons and no cheats or similar things....

when i go on our Member server i do not have problems like that it´s only on our Public server.We are using battle eye and it´s how i said my Ping is good and my Bandwith isn´t bad...

Please Help me ... :-(

Something to do with the port maybe ? if both your member server and public server are on same Dedicated , I assume that they are using different ports...

is your public and you member server using all the same configs ?

You will see "Kicked off game" when the server operator has set up to not allow custom faces and sound files, the ones from your name profile.
