7th of the 75th Mission Day

Recommended Posts

The 7th of the 75th Rangers is opening its mission days to non-members! We're hoping to attract some new blood to join the Rangers and be a part of our team. With that in mind we've decided to let the community join in on some of our ops.

Server/Unit Rules

Rangers work as a team everyone joining in on a mission is assigned to a Fire Team (or a vehicle crew in some cases). They are expected to be able to understand English and follow orders. They are also expected to show leadership skills as well by stepping up to assist with carrying out the mission.

No 'test firing' of weapons in the FOB or near the FOB - we use DAC and ASR_AI and they can and will respond to weapons fire.

Everyone on the game server must be on the Teamspeak server - ACRE is a real asset - otherwise you'll quickly go mad with the comms chatter. Keep radio chatter limited to the tactical situation - don't spam the radios.

Here's the OPORD (Operational Order) for this weeks mission.

NOTE - if you plan on attending it would be great to know in advance - register on our forums or PM me here so we can hold a slot for you.

SITUATION

1st Company 7th Btn Rangers deployed as military advisers to the Belerussian Government, have been deployed to Lingor Island; a small tourist destination located several hundred miles off the Russian coast in the Black Sea.

Local Russian-backed, anti-democracy REBELS have captured parts of the island in an attempt to stage a revolution or to force the Belerussian government to return to the Russian Federation.

Your team has been cut off from outside help and must disrupt and destroy various parts of the REBEL Command, Control and Communications network before it can be fully integrated.

REBEL forces have captured all the main airfields on the island and are in the process of preparing their equipment for a long-term occupation and follow on forces.

OPFOR

RUSSIAN MILITARY forces have also been detected in the AREA OF OPERATIONS and are acting as ADVISERS and ACTIVE military for the REBELS.

It is unknown at this time the actual numbers of OPFOR on the island, but SATINTEL indicates several groups of Mechanized or Motorized forces on the Island, as well as SPETZNAZ and MVD units.

TASKING

Attack and secure Aeropuerto Sargentas (South) or Maruko Aeropuerto Internacional (North) to allow follow-up Allied forces to land and disembark.

Clear and recapture the local oil storage facilities to prevent them being sabotaged by the REBELS.

ROE

Local Civilians are considered non-Hostile

The local military (GAL) is overwhelmed by the amount of rebellion and have requested our help, but will not be able to commit forces to assist US forces.

There are other hostile forces on the Island; several local druglords are attempting to seize control of villages and production facilities, they may attack if they spot US forces.

Anti-Air units and radar systems have been spotted and detected in the AO.

These include ZSU type radar systems and infrared guided SAM systems.

OPERATION SNAPPING TURTLE

Mission Date and Start Time – 1300 PACIFIC TIME Sunday October 16 , 2011

Weather and Light Data: 0500HRS Local Time – Cloudy skies, light wind.

Terrain: Desert scrub in countryside, detached close set buildings in most urban areas.

Task Organization:

7th of the 75th Rangers (1 Squad), Ranger Air Support, Other UN Forces if available

Rangers – Infantry and combined arms using Strykers in the AO as well as HALO insertion methods.

Ranger AS – Transportation and CAS using precision guided weapons

Other UN Forces – to support the Mission Objectives

SITUATION

MOLATIA. 7th of the 75th Rangers deployed as MILITARY ADVISERS for the friendly AFRENIAN government. At 0130 Local time Russian assisted MOLATIAN SPECIAL FORCES carried out a DIRECT ACTION against the local government. Capturing the AFRENIAN PRESIDENT and several members of his cabinet. They have demanded that US FORCES in the country be removed before sunrise or they will execute their prisoners.

USSOCOM has determined that the MOLATION forces have not had enough time to fully integrate their AAA and SAM defences and that a DIRECT ACTION on their CCC could cause them to withdraw from the area. They have also determined that a RESCUE of the AFRENIAN President and his advisers would be a large morale boost to locals as well as showing that the US is still involved with the AFRENIAN government and civilians.

OPFOR

MOLATIAN MILITARY FORCES (MMF) – Russian trained local troops using older Russian made weapons and equipment. At least two Battalions known to be in the AO. Russian Federation Forces (RFF) – small units of Military Advisers from the Russian Federation have been spotted in the AO. These units range from Support (artillery, SAM, C&C) to Direct Action (Spetznaz and other combatants). Numbers unknown. Anti-Air units have been spotted and detected in the AO. These include ZSU type radar systems and infrared guided SAM systems as well as man-portable SAM systems.

MISSION

7th Rangers to rapidly deploy to last known position of AFRENIAN President and conduct a rescue, from that point conduct DIRECT ACTION against MOLATION AAA, ARTILLERY and SAM UNITS in the AO.

The AFRENIAN Military Base WEST of Pinley town may be where local Military units are being held as POW's. A RAID on this location could gain local support for our mission.

The bridge connecting the WEST Island to the MAINLAND is a major CHOKEPOINT and should be considered as an OBJECTIVE, RUSSIAN FEDERATION troop transport ships have just left the local docks which may be being used as a SUPPLY DEPOT.

EXECUTION

Commanders Intent: to maximize the effectiveness of the 7th Rangers by various deployment methods, to cause the least amount of collateral damage while carrying out the Units objectives.

DIRECT A RAID on the Presidential Compound Area and RESCUE the President and his Advisers.

Carry out other DIRECT ACTION or RAIDS upon various other identified and non-identified OBJECTIVES

DISRUPT the MOLATION CCC, SAM and ARTILLERY sites.

OPORD 1023005

OPERATION DOGMA TRAIL

Mission Date and Start Time – 1300 PACIFIC DAYLIGHT TIME - Sunday October 23 , 2011

Weather and Light Data:0700HRS Local Time – Cloudy skies, light rain.

Terrain: Semi-dense jungle and swamp, detached close set buildings in most urban areas.

Task Organization:

7th of the 75th Rangers (1 Squad), Ranger Air Support, Ugandan Civic Police

Rangers – Infantry and combined arms using HMMVW and other vehicles in the AO or Helo transport.

Ranger AS – Transportation and CAS using precision guided weapons

Ugandan Civic Police – to assist the Rangers with the Mission Objectives

SITUATION

Lingor Island, Lake Victoria, Uganda. 7th of the 75th Rangers deployed as MILITARY ADVISERS and DIRECT ACTION rapid response troops. The President has sent out several teams of Special Forces Units to carry out direct action and act as advisers to various African Governments affected by the Lords Resistance Army (LRA) and to assist them against the LRA and to promote US policy in the region as well as to provide relief to the struggling local civilians.

The local branch/cell of the LRA has been terrorizing the various towns and villages of Western Lingor Island (a once popular resort island). The 7th of the 75th Rangers have arrived at FOB Shughart and are preparing to directly engage the LRA and drive them off Lingor once and for all.

The LRA on the other hand seem to have been re-vitalized by the sudden appearance of the US forces in their region and have been acting bolder in terms of actions against the local civilians, perhaps in an attempt to gain more support or gain more recruits in the region. The Ugandan government is unable to carry out military action due to their involvement with the Somali Al-Shaabib movement in the Sudan and Somalia and are stretched thin.

OPFOR

The LORDS RESISTANCE ARMY; Militia-like units that operate mostly independently of each other using whatever weapons they can purchase or steal. Organized into bands or 'Armies' they prey on the local farmers and villagers, extort supplies from them and steal their boy children to act as child soldiers. With the amounts of weapons sold in Somalia over the past decades of constant war they could be armed with nearly any type of light weapons system. They do not have regular air support, but have been known to hire Mercenaries or Drug dealers or diamond smugglers to carry out air operations for them. They are not known to have any heavy armored vehicles, but it is possible that they have purchased or stolen light armored vehicles from Somalia or even the Ugandan Army

MISSION

7th Rangers to carry out patrols of the local villages in particular the villages located to the SOUTH of FOB Shughart (Barro and Aguada) and also to seek out possible LRA hide outs, weapons caches and camp areas in the South Western part of Lingor. The US Forces in the Area of Operations should also be ready to assist local police forces if asked.

EXECUTION

Commanders Intent: to carry out the Presidents orders and to assist the locals against the LRA
