  1. Okay, thanks. Thought it was a conflicting mod. I am, however, experiencing a strange shadow bug. I'm going to do a clean install of ArmA 3, and then the mod, and see if that fixes my issues. If it doesn't, I'll take screenshots.
  2. How exactly do we use the HEV? I've been placing it 5000m above the surface and tried to turn on the engine but it won't start. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?
  3. Not much reason to use Steam Workshop other than uploading a text file with a link to your moddb page I think. Plus the workshop is a hive for scum and villainy, I don't think you need to be spammed with bob stick figure posts and giant thumbs up every 5 seconds.
  4. You did, a few times. To answer that persons question: There's gonna be some Halo stuff in the alpha.
  5. Gotcha, can't wait to find those bugs. As for the use of the 50mm, why not have it function similar to an AC-130? The frigate could be on standby for a certain mission, and the 50mm would be one of your supports you can call in (similar to calling in a mortar or artillery fire). That seems pretty reasonable if calling in a MAC round from orbit is under consideration, which by the way would be pretty freaking sweet. A lot of people have asked whether or not the frigate will fly or have specific functions other than a prop, but I'd like to know if the interior would be complex enough to host an entire mission area. Like the first mission from Halo: CE, but on the frigate and with Insurrectionist boarders.
  6. Will this thread be our feedback tracker for the alpha? Or do you have something else in mind?
  7. I really like the look of the magnum. I can't wait to see your work on the visors.
  8. Reminds me a lot of the concept art for Jun, I like it.
  9. A sudden gathering of the devs could only be a good thing.
  10. Play withSIX is probably a better idea than a torrent.
  11. Agreed, let's stay on topic. What's in the pipeline for this week?
  12. Wow you guys weren't kidding, that's hilarious. How is the VTOL flight model version of it by comparison? Hopefully less dizzy.
  13. These scenarios need to be documented and presented to the followers of this mod. For, err, scientific purposes.
  14. So then it's changed since the last Pelican discussion? I remember before Navy talked about how the helicopter flight model was more suitable for this vehicle.
  15. Is there any chance we can get a video of this happening? I'm intrigued.
  16. Haven't heard about this particular feature for a while, how is the mask for the Marine coming along? If I recall correctly it was going to either be a piece of equipment you wear or a variety of helmet, I don't remember.
  17. http://puu.sh/dEYpM/f9d87fe990.jpg I love that you guys have that visor detail where you can turn it on or off, and that MA5C is looking absolutely badass.
  18. Yeah, I think that'd be a neat idea to add at some point. More fuel for the hype train, woo woo!
  19. I imagine adding in your own helmets for personal use shouldn't be hard, and people could download them on the workshop or something. Re-watched this and the hype is even more real. That sound of the ODST drop pod gives me chills.
  20. Are you going to make the cockpit have the pilot sit next to the copilot or in front of the copilot? The model of Pelican that would be in the mod would have the former if we are sticking to the timeline (D77-TC as opposed to the D77H-TCI, introduced in 2552). Great model regardless, can't wait to see it fully finished.
  21. Yep, that's what I said. Considering it's around the same time period as your mod, the armor the ODSTs are wearing fits the timeline. Although it's still pretty unclear why the ODSTs in Halo 2 wear a different type of armor, since the standard BDU we all know predated that uniform and was around after. Does anyone know why this is? And have you guys considered this armor type as well?
  22. They're using the same type of ODST armor in the mod if you look at the screenshots, except the ones used in the show have different colors. They aren't wearing GEN2 ODST BDUs in Nightfall, those are worn by SPARTAN IVs. Not to mention, the ODST BDU we see in the games dates back to the days of Reach and even before that, like in Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn. It's not fully understood whether these were continuity errors with Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn, but the ODST BDU in this mod is the one used in Reach, 3, and 3 ODST as well as Forward Unto Dawn. They're not wearing US Army fatigues, I'm not sure what you're looking at. They're camouflage fatigues with armor plates, yes, but I'm not sure how that makes them any less of a suit of armor than the UNSC Marine or Army BDUs. They're outdated and likely something the Innies would use since that's normally what they do (use outdated UNSC tech). Although I'd probably say that only the helmet would be a necessary addition if it was considered, since the BDU they're wearing strongly resembles the UNSC Army BDU, although the two are different.
  23. Are you guys going to take any inspiration from the armor seen in Halo: Nightfall? Either the current ODST armor or the old stuff the militia is wearing?
