ArmA 3 stops recognizing joystick as controller

I am also facing the issue reported here. Windows 8.1 64-bit. Either one of my controllers are no longer recongised in the game after going into the ESC menu yet they're still fine in windows... Please Fix this issue Bohemia as it's ruining the immersive experience that arma 3 brings. :pet5:
