  1. Having lived almost my entire life a stones-throw away from the largest military base in the world, with either UH-1s and/or UH-60s (depending on the decade) going overhead all day every day, I can tell you they sound nothing alike. The stock Ghosthawk sounds are closer to a UH-60, as they should be since the Ghosthawk is a (fictional) derivative of the Black Hawk (based on the 160th SOAR's "stealth" Black Hawks).

Here it is. Removed due to Sig posting permanent link below.

I currently have it uploaded to my Google Drive, which has no bandwidth limitations. If FullerPJ or Sig gives the OK I will share the link until a more permanent home can be found.
  4. Hmm, why are the UH-60s using the UH-1 sounds? Wouldn't it be better to use the vanilla UH-80 sounds if you don't have any UH-60-specific ones? Other than that, this is a great mod, and currently the best Black Hawks in ArmA 3. Thanks for the hard work!

Agreed! Just tested out some of the units, they look great! I can live without the weapons pack for now as I mostly intend for these to be used by players on my server, rather than AI (I use Massi's NATO & Russian SF weapons pack with FHQ Accessories). Now if my guys only had an HH-60 to ride around in... ;)

Awesome! You'll make my day! Added two minutes later: Just looked at the wiki and saw the AFSOC units. Wow! This is gonna be great!

I feel that AFSOC and Pave Hawks are sorely overlooked so far in the ArmA 3 community. I can't wait for this mod to come to fruition and be able to run some proper PJ operations. Thanks for your hard work! PS: Any chance of a Pave Low making it into your mod? I know they are retired now, but I love those things! Still haven't warmed up to the CV-22 yet :)
  9. My intention is to make it possible to use a GhostHawk to fly to an objective, insert forces, and then loiter or circle providing cover with the miniguns until it is time to extract (think US Air Force Pararescue style operations). This will not be part of a scripted mission, but rather an option always available to players on my ALiVE server. Because the ALiVE CS module is also the best AI chopper control mechanism out there, I was hoping to use it to achieve this. Using the Transport type asset seems to break the chopper's ability to return fire, and using the CAS type means I can't order it around like I need to (no "move" or "land" orders, only Attack Run, S&D and Loiter). Any suggestions for accomplishing this using your system (or an ALiVE-compatible script)? Or should I simply wait until CS is overhauled? Thanks!
  10. First of all, thanks to the ALiVE Dev team for a great system, and for helping me get my WarRoom connection squared away a few weeks back. I'm running into an issue where my transport helos do not open fire on enemy targets when circling, even with ROE set to fire. I'll order a GhostHawk to circle a point, they are taking fire from the ground, and they just circle without ever fighting back. Is this a known issue? Working as designed? Thanks in advance!
  11. Fair enough. My IP doesn't change that often anyway :) I appreciate you guys and what you do for the ArmA community. Thanks again!
  12. Wow, that's my issue? :) Hmm. When it accepted my input as a hostname instead of IP, I was hoping that meant the static IP requirement was no longer present. Any plans on supporting persistent databases for us folks who want to host servers out of our house? Or an option to use our own database like in MSO? I am an IT engineer, so setting up a db server is nothing. The issue is my ISP won't give me a static IP :) Thanks for the help, guys!
  13. I just downloaded the mod last night from the alivemod.com site. Is 0.6.8 not the newest version? I also followed the server setup instructions on alivemod.com to the letter.
  14. I am currently experiencing an issue with my ALiVE server connecting to the external database. The mission loads and runs fine, but does not connect to the WarRoom. The mission is the example ALiVE Altis Insurgency mission with the only modification being the placement of the Database module. No other mods are being used. Here are my log files: Arma2NET.log: alive.log (scrubbed): RPT file: Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
