  1. In my humble opinion, the sound effects for the turret traverse and autoloader on the T-series tanks of the RHS mod are obnoxiously loud. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to lower the volume on them? I made a report about it on the RHS feedback site but they don't care. I've de-PBO'd the T-72 file, found the .wss file for the turret traverse, converted it to .wav, put it in audacity, tried lowering the volume, converting it back to .wss and putting it back in the .PBO only to then me unable to place T-72s or T-90s in the editor. I don't even understand how I screwed up so bad. So I reloaded the entire mod and am back to square one. Any ideas? Any tips? Here's a video I recorded on my phone, just,so you get an idea. The autoloader is audible outside the tank FFS...

    Walkable rampart or trench

    I'd like to know the same thing. Those ramparts are very useful for realistic Iraqi/Syrian/ISIS missions yet the AI acts like they are a 50 foot force field.
  3. So I'm setting up a basic scenario where a Syrain T-72 is disabled/damaged by ISIS, and a Russian chopper has to come in and provide air cover for the crew who are surrounded. I would like to have the tank seem realistically damaged/disabled rather than just spawn one in and have its health set to 0 so it explodes. I would like some of the ERA bricks blown off the sides and turret, I want the turret facing the 3 o'clock position, hatches open, engine destroyed, gun destroyed (gun barrel depressed) and some fire/smoke coming from the open hatches. I know how to spawn fire and smoke, what I don't know how to do is have the turret facing a certain direction, or destroy the ERA bricks or open the hatches. Anyone have any ideas? I'm assuming there are specific things to put in the init line.
  4. Need help with the Eden editor. It's so much more harder and confusing than the oldschool Arma 2 editor I'm trying to set up a simple thing where a chopper lands and drops off some dudes, the dudes go off and do their thing, and the chopper leaves. Simple, right? I've got a helicopter named choppa set up, I've placed a squad inside, I give the helicopter a move waypoint near the landing spot with "choppa flyInHeight 30" in the waypoint init to make him fly low and avoid detection. I then placed a LAND waypoint on an invisible helipad named "landyspot" with "choppa land landyspot" in the waypoint init. Now, heres where the problem is. I cannot give the helicopter and the squad leader (both seperate groups) different waypoints at this point. I think it's because the squad is inside the helicopter. Let me clarify, the infantry squad and the helicopter pilot are 2 separate groups. But whenever I click on the squad leader and give him a "get out" or "transport unload" waypoint near the landing spot, it applies that to the squad AND the chopper, so what happens is the damn pilots get out and start walking around. Or, if I give the chopper a move waypoint way far away to make it fly away, the chopper flys away but the goddamn infantry guys start running in that direction as well lol. I need some help!
  5. I've never been able to get the support requester module to work. It worked great in A2 you just put it down and synced it to someone. In A3 it doesn't work. I've completely given up on using artillery in this game. No way to call it in and the AI aren't smart enough to use it against you sooo...
  6. I'm having this same issue. No matter what I do, even with spacebar set as "select all units", when I press it it commands them all to move to where I'm looking.

    It's not bound to anything else. Can anyone help me? I can't even command my ai squad! I don't play multilayer I only play singleplayer by myself, and this really ruins the game for me. ARMA 2 didn't have any issues like this, I don't know what the deal is, why something so simple isn't working.
  8. Back in Arma 2 you hit the spacebar to select all units. In Arma 3, even though I have my controls set up that way, hitting the space bar tells them to move somewhere. It makes no sense. I have my controls set so the spacebar selects all units. Why is it doing this?

    Uniform insignia/patches/flags

    Nevermind I found it! When in the editor click on the unit and go to "attributes" and scroll down to Object: Identity and it's under Insignia!
  10. A while ago I can remember the arsenal had an option below watches to set the uniform insignia of a unit. I remember using the Iraqi/Syrian conflict mod and there was Iraqi army and peshmerga patches as well as many others. I'm trying to make loadouts for a Syrian SF team and the option to add insignia is gone. Am I missing something? Has it moved to the "attributes" section in the editor? I've looked all over and can't find it.

  12. I;m not sure how to check which version of what I have, I can tell you that I downloaded them both from armaholic yesterday, so they should be the most recent versions. I took RHS out of my game and it's doing the same thing. So I cant play with ACE3 I guess, which sucks because I wanted the tank cook off feature. I can't re-download anything from armaholic either since I was IP BANNED for asking this same question. Apparently asking for help is against the rules there. This is why I was initially asking for some kind of mission template that had objectives in it, so I could put my own units in. It seems ACE3 doesn't want people playing around in the editor without objectives set (which I have no idea how to set).
  13. I meant to say it ends the scenario and brings up an objective screen. So I believe ACE3 requires some sort of objectives to be placed. I'll make a video showing it. Here is the video: I have no idea how to make missions or script or do any of that stuff. I just like to play around in the editor making little battles, that's all I know how to do. I wanted to try ACE3 because of the tank cookoff feature.
  14. I'm a noob. I have no idea how to make a mission in ARMA3, let alone one that works with ACE3. When I tried using the ACE3 mod for the first time in the scenario editor, it ended right away as soon as I pushed play. It doesn't do this when ACE3 is not installed. So I'm seeking a simple SINGLEPLAYER template mission, something really basic, like all 3 sides (BLUFOR, OPFOR, INDEP) have objectives to kill all of eachothers units and thats it. That way I can at least play the game... with ACE3..... which I can't do right now.

    ARMA 3 Addon Request Thread

    Ah, no. It seems to have been moved to a thread that nobody bothers to look at. 143 pages of nothing. My thread was mostly related to ACE3 and asking for help regarding it. I'm not requesting an addon. But thanks for the "help".
