  1. Great work chaps, really.  Some observations and requests if you're in the mood?

    L119A1:

    • Standard L119A1 version with a picatinny rail but without any grip would be great to have
    • The CQB version has the same accuracy, range, and weight compared to standard version - suggest all receive a small downward adjustment
    • The CQB version is also crying out for picatinny versions without grip and with a (smaller) FG - currently being unable to mount a light or laser on a CQB weapon seems cavalier
    • On the UGL variant the left hand constantly holds the GL pistol grip, suggest moving that to under the GL barrel where it'd be more supportive, or in-front of the magwell, only moving the hand to the GL handle when fire mode is switched to the GL.  Also... shocking finger discipline on that GL ;)
    • All versions of L119A1 could do with a dusting of weathered paint, suggest foliage green and some coyote tan so they would work in both temperate and desert environments

    L129A1 DMR:

    • A variant without a folding grip or AFG and hand supporting under the handguard would be great

    L128A1 Shotgun:

    • A variant without a folding grip and hand supporting under the handguard would be great  :)

    L92A1 SMG:

    • A variant with the SureFire handguard torch would be...

Comfortably, by far, the best UK specific set of mods.  Great work.

  2. Firing while rappelling is great. But i guess personally im more interested in the rappelling to work in uneven slopes (eg. Cliffs) so that you stay attached instead of falling to your death. So im a little biased there :-p.

"When the player reaches the ground, they won't detach automatically. You'll be able to walk around with the rope still attached."       <--Thats the part that interested me and hope makes rappelling on uneven objects possible. Perhaps even with manual anchoring.

That's actually a very good point.  It's almost like we need an urban rappelling mod, with firing (into windows etc), and a rural rappelling mod without firing and allow for sloped rock faces.

  3. 1. Shooting while rappelling has to go away, sorry.

    2. When rappelling self, you will go into a 3rd-person 360-degree orbital camera (works exactly like the 3rd person free look). You will be able to zoom in/out using scroll wheel.

    3. No actions will be available while rappelling. You'll need to reach the ground.

1 & 3 yay!  2 boo!  But it's an understandable sacrifice.  Many people would be doing this in 3rd person anyway, so no great shakes.

I think those concessions are understandable and fine. Nice work! Does this mean this can now also apply into your advanced urban rappeling/grappling ? :)

I disagree on this one.  There isn't helo movement to counteract in the urban mod, and I doubt anyone wants to lose FFR (firing from ropes - you heard it here first! :D ) from urban rappelling.  Shooting in building windows FTW

  4. Don't confuse fast roping and rappelling.  Rappelling (down a cliff face, outside of a building, whatever), you're attached to the rope by your rigger gear.  So you can have free hands.

When you fast rope out of a helo the only thing connecting you to the rope are your two hands.  Nobody is going to take a hand off the rope to discharge a weapon, let alone deal with the recoil.

    YouTube is your friend.

But I guess if you want Battlefield style features, fill your boots.
