    dude LOL, I was literally writing to answer your questions and I ended up hitting the "delete" key and it sent my ass back a page and whatever I wrote didn't get saved, *sigh I did this twice :936: LOL, I'm done tho all I can say is that Dave would've let me use the vest, I'm guessing the vest is for a milsim clan, and if i'm mistaken milsim clans use custom gear exclusively and not released to the public....I could be wrong tho, I don't play enough Arma to find out....

    He is, but he has been absent for a very long time, haven't you NOTICED :huh:!? My last contact with the guy was when he sent me most of his work that was being done for his A3 Ranger addon, I even got a kick-ass vest from him, but was specifically told not to use it unless I want to make enemies.....ain't nobody got time fo dat ,specially me lol. Goes without saying, I hope the guy is okay, last I heard he depolyed to some undisclosed location, so whereever you are bud, hope you're good. I.....shamefully don't know how to, I never really had to do that, and to be honest that is not too bad of an idea, buuuut I've always been strict about doing things like that, since I have many content handed to me by authors, I restrict myself from trying a thing like that, though sometimes you do have to modify a mesh to fit the certain gear/uniform to sit well compensating clipping issues, but adding vertices to someone's already modeled work without permission i'm not too sure about (personally I find it disrespectful,unless given permission)..... anyone's opinion is welcomed.... edit: most times I'm given content from other authors they usually tell me "do what you want with it and good luck". lol

Mahalo Nate, that is one motivating compliment brother. rubbeman, I am really looking forward to releasing this sometime in the beginning of December. Right now roadrunner is helping us all out with a Ciras vest I decided to use from Johannes' ever so famous US Spec Forces vests template from A2 (which runner pretty much picked out ;)), a hi-res texture to go along with the vest that Sabre re-textured and runner who supplied it, I also was lended a Ciras vest modeled by MisterCat which I still am deciding what to do with (a lot of work to do with that amazing vest). Warden_1 has also supplied me with a JPC he's modeled which I would love to use, and am hoping to. So right now that Ciras vests are what's in the works at the moment, different variations for all of the unit classes, and for those of you who've been asking me if there is going to be a pistol holster on the chest, yes and no....... that's the plans gentleman......here are a couple of WIP screenshots this is other people's work put together by a guy with a vision, that's all.....

    I humbly agree with runner (aka.my Yoda) :). If you like the uniforms so much (which I thank you) drop me a PM and I can send you the psd/xcf file (after release) and you can slap any camo/flag on there. I must warn you that I heavily modified the Nato uniform to match Crye Precision wear, I experimented on adding some Crye logo's on the uniform, but seeing that it's not 100% accurate I felt it wasn't necessary, even tho it looked dope. For some reason I always envisioned everyone using the same MultiCam so that everyone's work will compensate eachother's gear/look, but meh we all know that's impossible lol. I actually wanted to use KetsuCorp's MCam and base my rangers using their work so we can benefit using the same gear, but I opened up the .paa and there MCam pattern was staggered (not seamless) and it was also one piece, like they didn't piece them together at the seams which Fluttershy taught me and was right, makes it look more authentic.

    Flight Deck Crew Unit Addon WIP

    We'll see how I feel after my Rangers addon, I have a bunch of ideas for units/equipment, vehicles i'm not about to journey into that nightmare ,pretty much ever lol. I'm just a unit guy, I'm not interested in porting any vehicles, besides aren't there vehicles already!? I swore I seen a deck tractor on Armaholic.....

    Nah, I know you weren't ;) I was just making an unaggressive statement with an aggresive (but funny) emoticon lol....ummm, a little run down of thing's I still have to do 1. Going to "hopefully" get a NEW vest from a friendly source (the previous vest didn't work out, sorry for that). 2. Work on figuring out how to add scopes on weapons in my eventhandlers when Rangers are placed in-game. 3. Fix and add newer item classnames to units in eventhandlers. 4. Work on the Ranger Recon squad/units. 5. A bunch of smaller uninteresting but necassary things....

    So I was fortunate enough to gain a mentor "road runner" aka. Argyle, who has introduced to me a new method of texturing, and he has made these *Salomon & Asolo textured shoes for our 75th Rangers and I was also guided by his grace in order to texture some authentic *Oakley SI Tac gloves.     Backpack Base Config

    wow, that's weird..hmm not sure what it could be brother, maybe re-write the entire array again without copying/pasting anything? It seems maybe the config is corrupted? edit: maybe take into consideration of making a seperate pbo for the backpacks? that might help, just a secondary suggestion as to what I do for most of my equipment... I noticed you're using the " / *extern* /" classes also.... I've never used that array before

    k, i gotcha man 1.A3 samples character example 2.cut off the mesh's forearm to whatever you need by using the "select vertices" tool 3.select "move by normals" and use the shortcut keys shift+alt (i'm on an iMac using windows bootcamp, so I'm not sure if we have the same shortcut keys) 4.resize just a hair, enough so that it won't clips the skin, the mesh is already rigged and ready to port, no weighting/rigging needed. 5.use these textures, "a3\characters_f\heads\data\hl_white_bald_co.tga", retrieve all the maps _as,smdi,yadda yadda and the rvmat should be pretty simple and easy,If you need it I can send it to you, other than that it's pretty simple really, why model one when you can use your brain and improvise!? nawmean jelly bean..... ...cosmic, than I guess that means I'm an early drinker! it's actually 3am Hawai'i time :P
